"Elene!" his voice went colder and his expression darkened. "Do not embarrass our guests. How about you ask maids to serve us some snacks." His voice was demanding and his face was aloof as if they had nothing to do with each other.

Elene felt stuffy in her throat as if she could not breathe. Her face went pale. She had done so much for this man but he never accepted her in public. It was not like they were real siblings that they could not be together. Eve had already married someone else. What was stopping him?

"No!" she announced and took the seat. "Since I am a Midnight Star, I have the right to know about our business, Mr Graystone." He was not even a baron anymore. All he had was the Midnight star family. How could I be so rude in front of her?

She was not a fool of that drama who would ignore everything for love. His eyes narrowed at her and his face went grim. She could see a threat on them but she was not scared of them.
