Gloria stopped in her tracks and looked back at the man.
Claude saw hope, heaved a sigh of relief, and continued, "Let's go. It's just a meal. What are you afraid of? I won't eat you."
Nydia looked at Gloria with concern. She sensed Gloria's intention to go and grinned at Claude, "It happens that I'm hungry. Mr. White, do you mind taking me along with you?"
Irene smiled and echoed, "Yeah, me too."
Claude looked upset. He only wanted to have a private talk with Gloria.
Just as he was about to refuse, another voice rang out.
"Good idea. I am staving. Mr. White, do you mind if I come along?" The frivolous voice made Claude change color.
He could say no to Irene and Nydia.
There was no way he dared to turn this man down. It was out of the question.
He put on a spurious smile. "I'm more than glad to dine with you."
Nydia glanced at the man in confusion. Why does he want to join in the occasion?
