Chapter 1: 1. Transmigration is real!? (Prologue)

Great Freya Academy, Boy's dormitories.

A young boy with dark black hair opened his eyes and slowly got up from his bed.

A look of confusion appeared on his ordinary face and his dark black pupils were filled with shock.

Looking around, he found himself on a king-size bed, which obviously could not be his.

He looked around and confirmed that he was indeed in an unfamiliar room, everything in the room looked luxurious, moreover, there were several high-tech-looking machines that he hadn't seen ever.

A ball of light was floating around in the room and was illuminating the whole room, there was no cable for an electric supply connected to it.

A small white-colored machine was pumping out cold air; maybe that was an A.C.

'What going on... Where am I?'

Just as the boy was getting more and more confused, a sudden pain assaulted his head, and a huge amount of foreign and strange memories started to flow into his head without any restriction:

"argh!"

...

In a short amount of time, he saw a huge amount of memories, and an insane amount of information rushed into his head like an unstoppable flood.

He witnessed the early childhood days of an unfamiliar child, then he saw many jumbled-up memories and then he saw the kid live his days in loneliness and alone.

After half an hour of hellish torture, the pain finally disappeared.

"huff.....haa....huff... what is going on... whose memories are these... huff..."

The young boy panted heavily as he tried to calm down his mind and wiped the sweat covering his forehead.

He walked towards the mirror with heavy breathing.

The reflection in the mirror was a young boy around 15 years old and he had ordinary looks no different than a normal person.

There's nothing special or distinctive about the face, it is so ordinary that it won't stand out in the crowd at all.

But the young boy's mind was not on these facial features, he was more shocked at the fact that:

"I really got transmigrated? So, transmigration is real!?"

He remembered clearly that yesterday he was reading the novel 'Strongest Mage with System' or something like that was its name; it was a gift from a friend.

He just started reading it casually and after finishing it in one day, he laid down on his bed to sleep.

'I can't remember what happened after that... and now I am suddenly here...'

The only clue he has is that somehow, he is inside the novel's world now and he has become an extra character in the novel that he read yesterday night.

'This is so sudden, I would have deleted my computer history if I had known this was going to happen...ugh...'

He shook his head and calmed down his mood. All the memories in his mind were jumbled up and for some reason, he was barely able to feel any emotions at all.

'If it were the original me, I would have been shouting in panic; for some reason, I can't feel any panic or surprise... it feels kind of...'

'empty...'

...

With the memories he inherited, he first found the kitchen.

Starting that high-tech 3d printer, he made himself a tea out of thin air. (This world is extremely high-tech...)

Taking that tea with him, he walked towards the window and started to sort out all the things in his head.

'According to the incomplete memories....'

'This body belongs to an orphan who 'awakened' a 'talent' related to 'swords' and got selected as a student of the biggest academy in human territory, the great Freya academy....'

'I suppose that I have transmigrated into the body of some 'extra' character that never appears in the story...'

'The good thing is, I have his memory...'

But there was one thing that was bugging him a lot.

'It's... strange... any sane person will feel shocked if they suddenly get transmigrated... but... I feel nothing...'

...

While sipping the tea, he glanced outside the window and noticed the various high-tech-looking buildings outside, He could see cars flying in the sky, and some people could also be seen flying in the air from time to time.

The place that he was in right now is the student dormitory of the biggest academy of the human empire, which was established by the government itself, to nurture future talents.

'According to the novel that I read, this novel's world has the background of modern society where dungeon gates open everywhere... and awakened people raid the dungeons...'

'This is a typical 'modern-magic world' type setting...'

Although his face remained expressionless while looking at the tech utopia outside of the window, he was extremely shocked in his mind.

'The scenery here is beautiful...'

Several different races have started to live on Earth nowadays and due to the space rifts, the size of the original Earth has increased by manifolds. (Expansion of space fabric has happened here...)

Nowadays, people with several supernatural powers live in this world and every human has a 'status window' that only they can see.

(Obviously, the novel's main protagonist had a more advanced one, he had a system that helped him become powerful as a mage by using Exp.)

'Comparing the memories of this body to my memories of the first few chapters of that novel... I think that...'

'The entrance ceremony of the academy is about a month later from today...'

'...in the meantime, I can go and steal some of the chances that the hero got...'

'As for what will happen if the hero doesn't get them? It doesn't matter to me....'

'I am an extremely selfish person; to begin with, even in my previous life, I lived contently by using my selfishness as a weapon... No matter the world, being kind to your enemy is cruelty to yourself...'

You have to do everything to survive after all.

In a world where strength is valued more than anything, being weak is a sin.

And being weak will also make you the target of the bully in this academy, so why not just take whatever can increase your strength?

Why will you worry about the story's plot or the protagonist losing, when your own life is miserable?

The young boy looked at the horizon, sipped his still-warm tea, and stopped thinking about this issue.

'An orphan again, tch! what bad luck... well, it doesn't matter anyway....'

"Let's first check out status..."

...

...

Author's Note.

The first three chapters are going to be short since this is my first novel and I don't have much experience, so forgive any mistakes you may find in it.

Also, the first two volumes are currently under editing, so don't be surprised if there are a lot of grammar mistakes in the chs, they will be fixed soon.

If you like the novel, be sure to read it till the end, Thanks for your time.
