Fortunately, the desks, sofas, and coffee tables were all made of solid wood.

There was a rest area outside with two pots of completely dried flowers—they were tidied up and taken away, which meant the trip hadn't been a waste.

What she needed most now was soil. Outside, there was mostly water, and soil was already scarce.

When the extreme cold of the latter stages of the apocalypse arrived, most of the land would be frozen under the ice, unless it was at a particularly high elevation and without accumulated water.

Right, she could go up to the mountains later on to collect soil.

But that was for later. For now, virtually every company office had a few potted plants.

Every little bit added up, and she wasn't picky.

On the 16th floor, there were two jewelry stores selling hair clips and one selling Glazed Beads...

These items were of no use in the apocalypse.

She had scavenged for wood and soil—that was enough. The other places had already been searched by the other two.
