Chapter 29: Spies and lies

Jessica broke away from Stan and untied the blindfold. "What are you doing?" she said sharply.

"You kissed me first. It is rude not to respond to a girl's kiss." Stan quipped 

"You did it on purpose." she argued, "You deliberately held the clip in your mouth."

Stan shrugged his shoulder and said - "But you came for it!"

"I…I was blindfolded!" she shouted

"Even so, a kiss is a kiss. A gentleman must honour it."

"Gentleman!" she scoffed. "Disgusting scoundrel! That's what you are," she muttered and walked out of the club.

Myra untied her scarf and said to Kevin, "What happened?" 

"Stan kissed her," he said.

Myra turned around and looked for Jessica but she was nowhere to be found. Kevin informed her that she had left the hall.

Myra went out looking for her friend. She found her fuming. "How dare he! How dare he!" Jessica was saying every now and then.

"Are you alright?" Myra said.

Jessica let out a grunt.
