Sato knew his sister was about to put Karui through a hard training session, both mentally and physically.
Joining a family was never easy, this was an important step in making the new employee loyal, or they might betray their boss at a later date.
Sato knew that Yugito was doing this for his own good, and he wasn't about to stupidly ignore his sister's help when she was a much more experienced ninja.
"Okay.."
"I will be back soon."
Karui nodded somewhat timidly before she followed behind Yugito.
Sato watched the two of them leave for a secluded area before he turned towards a tree on the side.
"Does she pass?"
Asked Sato.
"She doesn't, her loyalty is good, but her potential is not that high."
Yugito's voice came from behind the tree, before she herself emerged from behind.
She explained while walking upto Sato.
"She is at most going to be a jonin, an elite jonin if she trains to her limits."
"That is not good enough to be your shadow guard."
Sato was taken aback, he himself was a bum who would reach jonin at most in his life, and an Elite jonin potential was considered trash by his sister.
"Sister, I am not much better myself."
Sato couldn't help but say this, yet Yugito was having none of that.
"Nonsense, you are my brother, it dosen't matter what your talent is, I can make you strong regardless."
"But choosing a shadow is different, they are protectors you are going to entrust your life to."
"They will be the companions who will live around you at your most vulnerable times."
Patting Sato's head Yugito said softly.
"The time and energy you have to invest in a shadow is immense, unless they are truly worth the value, it's useless to take them as shadow."
"Karui is more suitable as an assistant, she reminds me of Mabui in that regard, loyal but not much potential."
"I will still train her but she doesn't deserve to be your shadow."
Sato smiled wryly and scratched his hair in frustration, this puts him in a difficult spot.
"But then where do I find such people?"
"People with S class potential."
Yugito calmly explained.
"The ninja world is big, there will always be such talents."
"Building a shadow guard takes time."
"We can't rush it Sato."
Sato frowned with frustration but he had to accept it, she was right after all, he would simply have to search for talents around the ninja world sooner.
Yugito saw Sato begrudgingly agreeing to it and said.
"Don't worry, I'll start my search from tomorrow."
Sighing tiredly, Sato shook his head.
Yugito was right, he can't make the first person with passable potential his shadow guard, he was being too hasty.
It's not like the ninja world lacks talents who can easily reach kage level.
Karin, Haku, Kimimaro, Jugo any one of these can leave 99% of ninjas of this world in the dust.
And they were all extremely loyal to the one they choose as their boss.
Sato will aim for these hidden gems now if he wants to build the strongest squad.
"You are right, I was being too hasty in my choice sister."
"I'll leave it you."
Accepting his mistake was the correct thing to do, he knew he wasn't as good as Yugito.
"I am happy that you understand."
Yugito smiled with relief.
She was worried she was making Sato unhappy, but it seems Sato was mature enough to realise his mistake.
This made her job way easier.
By now Sato had also decided who he was going to look for, or more correctly who Yugito should look for if she wanted potential.
"Sister, if you want to search for talents you can verify some of the rumours I have heard."
"I heard a lot of them when traveling with my family."
Yugito laughed after hearing that and funnily pulled Sato's cheek.
"What kind of talents can you even know huh?"
"Rumours aren't trustworthy."
But Sato didn't care about her mistrust, it's normal for her to think he would know jack shit.
Although his situation wasn't exactly normal.
"When we were wandering around I often heard and saw weird things."
"I didn't pay attention to those rumours back then, but now that I think about it."
"They could have been true."
Sato explained, easily connecting his knowledge to his life experience, and he wasn't exactly lying either.
A wandering life makes it easy to hear rumours, he just never heard the rumours he was going tell.
Yugito shook her head and picked up Sato.
"Okay, tell me the rumours after taking a bath."
"You are very dirty, Matatabi made a big mess."
Twitching his eyes Sato refused to comment on it, who knows if Matatabi will take that as an insult.
He worked hard to make good relations with the tailed beast, he didn't want to spoil it.
"Okay, I'll take a bath first."
"Let's train after that, I want to start my Ninja training."
Ninja training was something Sato wanted to start immediately now that Yugito was back.
Yugito didn't seem to have any issues with that either.
"Alright, I'll hear your rumours then we will train."
With that Yugito and Sato went back inside the house.
The house lit up with laughter and fun while the clearing outside was filled with Karui's gasps of tiredness.
Yugito's shadow clone wasn't going easy on her at all, even when her main body spent time with her brother.
This was a mental fortitude test she was giving Karui, and Karui seemed to be surviving alright.
But If someone was to ask Karui what she felt right now, she would tell them that Yugito sama was a demon.
The constant laughter coming from the house and the smell of food was getting to her very badly, but she held on, she cannot fail, she would lose everything if she did.
Karui constantly fought her mental battles and kept winning, she kept defeating her instincts and completely impressed Yugito's shadow clone.
Just like that, three hours soon passed by, Sato and Yugito had fun, they cleaned, they ate and they relaxed.
Now it was time, it was time for Sato's to start his training.
