Chapter 64: You are old

Ryder cleared his throat before talking.

"I don't think anything is wrong with the vampires taking their revenge. I would have done the same as well."

"Ryder!" Ava exclaimed in shock.

"It's okay Ryder. We aren't that petty. Nothing is happening to your sister." the queen reassured him.

"Thank you." Ryder said in relief.

"But memory access rituals, although they are accurate can not always be trusted" the queen advised. 

"Why?" Ryder asked. 

"Because memories can be messed with as well, vampires are capable of erasing memories. Those erased memories cannot be accessed by a memory access ritual no matter how skilled or powerful the witch might be" 

"So are you saying some of Lily's memories might have been erased?" 

"I didn't say that. I just said it was a possibility" the queen said as she sipped her goblet again. 

"I will keep that in mind"
