Chapter 41: Time skip... (3)

Prakriti's P.O.V,

When all five Pandavas were finally born in the humble hut of Pandu, it was time for the curse of Sage Kindama to take effect.

In one fine morning, the sun was shimmering in an unusually mellow brightness. The sounds of flowing water, slow winds and chirping birds created a strange yet wonderful melody around the hut of Pandu, who was lost in his mediation.

Whether it was due to the influence of someone or not, that day Pandu awakened from his meditation rather quickly. Even if he tried to concentrate, he was unable to.

At the same time, Devi Madri-the mother of Nakul and Sahadeva, was bathing in the cover of a white cloth which reflected her curves on the cloth, amplifying her beauty even more.

Witnessing this spectacle, the extinguished flame of lust within Pandu ignited at its peak! The honeyed melody of nature added fuel to the fire!

Even his Yogic powers accumulated for more than a decade were unable to resist his sudden lust. Swayed by his desire, he grabbed Devi Madri and took her inside the hut.

Devi Madri was dumbfounded at his sudden actions. However, when she felt the flame of passion burning in his eyes, she distanced herself away from Pandu. She pleaded to him and reminded him about his curse, again and again!

Albeit, at that moment, Pandu was under the possession of his suppressed desire originating from the primal instinct of every human! Her pleas fell onto deaf ears as Pandu enjoyed the new sensation!

As for Devi Madri, She was also a woman. And, Every woman desires for the warmth of her husband. Hence, within the act, She also enjoyed his embrace for a brief moment....

After the deed, Devi Madri and Pandu wore their clothes, still lost in the euphoria...

Unaware of his awaiting doom, Pandu stepped out from the hut with a wide smile on his face, which was consequently his last...

Thud!

Before he moved another step, the curse of the Sage Kindama showed its full might! In a blink of an eye... the momentary king of Hastinapur... King Pandu had died....

"No!!!!"

"Arya!!!"

"PitaShri!!!"

"Waaa!!!"

Following which, rivers of tears (Figuratively) flow out from the pupils of Devi Madri who placed Pandu's head on her lap as she blamed herself for his death!

At that very moment, Devi Kunti and the Pandavas returned with the flowers, dried woods and the twins (Nakul and Sahadeva).

Gazing at the now dead body of their father/husband, all of them wept till the last drop of water had come out...

On the evening of the same day, Devi Madri along with Pandu left this world as she blamed herself for the unfortunate incident. Though it was inevitable, she was equally guilty for not being able to stop the advances of her husband.

So, while sitting on the deathbed of Pandu, she turned into fine dust and returned to heaven...

Leaving Devi Kunti alone in the harsh world with the five Pandavas of celestial origins...

....

Since it was news of great importance for the Kuru kingdom, Devi sent a message about this incident, making the whole kingdom to mourn for the fall of a great Maharathi Warrior and their rightful king...

On knowing this piece of information, whether it was Maharishi Kripacharya, Mahamantri Vidur, Gangaputra Bhishma or even King Dhritarashtra, they shared their wish to take Devi Kunti back to Hastinapur.

It wasn't because they weren't sad for the death of Pandu and Devi Madri. Instead, their grief was enormous compared to other netizens!

Even King Dhritarashtra and Devi Gandhari were grievous for the unfortunate event and shared the will for the return of Devi Kunti.

Though Pandavas will become the competitors against their offspring, it didn't stop them from choosing the right.

Despite their blind love for their children, neither Devi Gandhari nor King Dhritarashtra were Adharmic individuals.

After all, If both of them willed so, Bhishma would be unable to help Devi Kunti, all because of his oath of being obedient to the throne of the Kuru Kingdom.

Nevertheless, this possibility didn't interfere with their judgments as they are still away from the influence of a certain creature lurking in the darkness...

He ordered the elders of Kuruvansa to return with Devi Kunti and Pandavas with the appropriate respect.

...

Abiding the orders of their King, the elders (Under the leadership of Bhisma), left to persuade the woman who had just lost her husband...
