Chapter 48: What happens in the forest stays in the forest.

In the forest behind Konrad's Potter manor, grew a big tree. On this tree an exquisite looking treehouse was situated. It looked like a small castle and even had a Bascule bridge that at the moment was raised blocking the entrance into the building.

Suddenly a tiny owl flew out of one of the windows and sat on a perch beside the entrance.

"Attention residents of the Potter Forest! Our Lord and Lady wishes to give a speech to you all. Please gather over the palace ground!" chirped the little owl.

Soon enough a bunch of different creatures spanning from different birds to rodents and different mammals like deers and even a few cats gathered all around the treecastle. There was even a bunch of magical creatures, like a Teleporting Makorabbits or even puffskeins and Bowtruckles. Every one of them watched as the bridge slowly lowered, a roll of red carpet unraveled and rolled down the bridge.

Then from the entrance of the castle a cat and an owl on his back came out slowly their heads held highly.

The little owl once again chirped.

"All hail Lord Croockshanks and Lady Athena!"

The two familiars stopped walking and looked at the gathered animals. Finally Athena spoke.

"We wish to congratulate you all on your hard work. The Food supplies for all the creatures of our forest are plenty we took care of the parasites and any dangerous evil creatures!"

Then Croockshanks meowed.

"We also appreciate your hard work in cleaning the forest and helping in its protection. As your Lord I wish that this forest and all his residents live a happy life and their children don't have to suffer the same hardships you had to go through! I'd also like to distinguish Miss Squeeky the Squirrel for notifying us about a Lethifold on the loose in the south valley. Lady Phoebe has been dispatched to scare of or remove the evil creature and is soon to return."

At those words most of the creatures made happy noises. They already knew about Lady Phoebe. She was the most powerful and the Purest magical creature they ever seen and they were perfectly sure that the dangerous Lethifold Wouldn't stand a chance against her. Lady Phoebe being friends with Lord and Lady was also the reason why there was no more oppositions toward their rule over the forest.

After Croockshanks and Athena took care of a few more management affairs the people were dismissed, the carpet rolled back and the bridge closed behind them.

As Croockshanks and Athena finally arrived in their big private bedroom they sat beside each other and sighed. Croockshanks lied his he'd flat on the bed and put his paws on his eyes while Athena Rubbed her left wing tiredly over her beak.

"How did it happen Croock?! We just asked miss Cristal to make us a private house and suddenly we are Lady and Lord of the forest?!"

Croockshanks lifted his head slightly and slumped back into the same position with a growl-like meow.

"I don't know Ath. I gues it started when we started helping around and giving advices to everyone... Asking miss Cristal and Miss Ruby to help around might have also been a good reason. Everyone now calls them our knights..and they just go with it! I just wanted to have a quiet place to spend some time with the loveliest owl in the world but nooo I have to care for every critter in this place now! At least Miss Phoebe is a good friend and doesn't joke about us... Ehh I wonder how are our masters fairing back at this big caste. I heard that your Konrad is going to fight in some big tournament. Maybe we should go and check on them soon?" He said.

But Athena didn't listen. She stopped after hearing Croockshanks call her the loveliest owl in the world, and was slowly getting closer to the part-kneazel with something you could call a seductive owl expression if there ever was something like this.

"Well my 'Lord'. Maybe you need a little loossenes for now. just relax and let me help you a little. You seem really tense...hoohoohoo"

"Mmmeow Lady..."Croockshanks looked at her slowly getting closer.

"Hoot Hoot!!"

"Meow meow!!!"

"hhmhhmh" A beautiful white phoenix soared through the sky over the forest humming a tune happily. Her friends Croockshanks and Athena asked her for help a while ago and she easily complied. Seems like a very bad dark creature roamed the forest hurting innocent creatures and bringing anxiety to everyone. The reason why she was so happy was because they asked her for help! She Lived already for over two weeks yet she always felt very mature. She wanted to be useful for Daddy and Mommies but until now they only continued pampering her instead. When she related her needs to them through Athena, her best friend, Daddy smiled and told her that just by being close to them she already made them happy, so she shouldn't worry too much. I became much happier and hoped to stay with them all the time so that they were always happy but Daddy and Mommies went to that place called Hogywart, and I couldn't stay with them very often. So I decided to watch how misses Cristal and Ruby trained their magic, and tried to encourage them when they failed a spell. I really enjoyed seeing how they would start with a renewed determination.

Other times I would visit Athena. She's great! So smart and she's such a good flier! we're always racing with eachother It's always so much fun! And I always feel so much happiness emanating from her when she sees Croockshanks. it's just like Daddy and Mommies! so I never interrupt them whenever they wish to enjoy their time together. But some time ago Athena asked .e to help her with the problems in the forest, and it was so much fun! you wouldn't believe how much creatures gets hurt or need a little help around here! and the parasites! There was so many of them that I had to ask miss Cristal for help in cleaning the place! She also ordered a bunch of magical plants good for the forest vegetation and borrowed the missing ones from the greenhouses. She showed me this amazing magic thing that copied the things put inside so I started using it to make copies of some of the plants I needed. I never copied food because Like miss Ruby said if I start giving food around they might get used to it and if I'm then to disappear they wouldn't be able to live normally anymore. So instead I decided to change the Forest's vegetation and increase the amount of useful or beautiful plants while reducing the amount of poisonous and plants athe ones detrimental to the environment. I was really happy in helping everyone.

But i really gone off topic now! I'm going on a hunt! This whole Lethifold thingy. Miss Cristal warned me that it's a close cousin to a dementor which is like my complete opposite but theoretically I should be a perfect weapon against it. But she also warned me that it's an extremely dangerous creature tries to suffocate and eat her victim and there's no known way to kill it. I don't like killing but letting something that's utterly evil live just because 'killing is bad' is the peak of stupidity! If Every creature even ME! Knows that it's kill or be killed. You can't reason with everyone.

Huh?There's a very dark aura in that direction... and it's still in the proximity of daddy's wards? It was probably there before he made them. Let's see.

Phoebe flew down and saw a black cloth like entity floating in the air.

Lethifold! It's really here! and i looks like it's about to attack this little badger! I won't let you!

Phoebe charged the Lethifold head on surrounded in white flames. She expected a tough fight but as soon as she reached the quickly escaping creature it's folding body was caught on fire of white flames. A terrible shriek came from the creature as the white flames are on its body until it burned completely leaving nothing behind. She looked at the place where the Lethifold burned with a shocked expression while a very happy badger run circles around her happily.

'I might have been a little too stron for him... well one less dark creature to worry about! mhmhhmhhm' Phoebe flew back tp Athena's little palace to give her report about the creature. 'Hehehe I wonder how angry she would be if I acted like her knight just like Cristal and Ruby hahaha!'

"So this rune is fire right?" Asked Ruby.

"Yeah, if you put it like this and form your fire breath into that shape, Your fire attack should do its own fire attack...in theory." replied Cristal.

"mhm alright let me try!" Ruby said and changed into her dragon form instantly.

The two of them were at the moment in the empty field beside the mansion.

&"Alright are you ready?"& Asked the dragon looking at the little Purple eyed girl hiding behind a magic reinforced glass. She gave her a thumb up indicating she's read and pointed I to the sky. Ruby nodded understanding what she meant and directed her head into the sky.

*FHWOOOSH* The dragon breath flew into the sky forming into big air-suspended fire generating formation and-

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*

the formation exploded into a huge fire ball that flew into the sky only to hit the magical wards some kilometr above their head making it light up and utilize the power from at least two safety magic batteries.

Ruby transformed Into her human form with her eyes glued to the giant explosion in the sky.

"...Ups?...I think it was a little too strong..."

"A little?... That was a freaking Nuke Ruby!!" Replied Cristal.

"Don't be so dramatic Sis it's far from a nuke..." Objected Ruby.

"But you could probably easily break a few houses with this single attack! maybe try putting less power into it next time and never aim at any building...Or you know what never aim it at Anything or there will be nothing left of it . Jeez thanks Daddy that he made the ward so powerful, Right?"

"Yeah !"
