"So, you are telling me that the ambulance was not supposed to run over me and I should not have died?"

Liam rubbed his temples, feeling the weight of his newfound reality pressing down on him. He glanced at the old man—God, apparently—and then at the lively child who was still tugging at the divine beard. Taking a deep breath, he decided to clarify.

"So... an ambulance, your distraction, and some cosmic paperwork mistake led to my premature death?" Liam asked, his voice laced with disbelief and sarcasm.

The elderly God nodded sheepishly. "Yes, that sums it up. Even divine beings aren't immune to the occasional blunder. You see, I was playing hide-and-seek with this little one."

The boy giggled, clutching his grandfather's robe. "Grandpa takes this game very seriously. It's the one time I can trick him!"

"I died because of hide-and-seek?" Liam's eyebrow twitched and his thoughts returned to a few minutes prior...

"Haah!..." Liam woke up, his forehead drenched his sweat because of the sudden shock, only to realize that he was somewhere in an unfamiliar place.

Liam was lying on a futon and looking around him, his eyes could only see a sea of clouds. The ground was green, filled with all sorts of beautiful flowers and plants.

"W-Where... Where is this?!" Liam muttered in disbelief, even rubbing his eyes to make sure that he was not hallucinating.

He could only stare ahead in a daze, unable to comprehend what was happening. "I am sure that I was hit... but this..."

"Ah, you're finally awake, young man."

Just at that moment, a majestic and old voice echoed in the space.

Liam turned his head around and saw an elderly man in his seventies walking towards him with a small child around the age of six years old in his arms. The old man was exuding a very calm, peaceful, and kindly aura with a faint golden light covering his body.

On the other hand, the child was very naughty, pinching and pulling the beard of the old man.

"W-Who are you, Sir?" Liam gulped down and asked politely. "Do you perhaps... saved my life?"

Before the old man could reply, the young child pointed at Liam and said with a smile. "Grandpa, this big brother must have suffered from some head injury. He is asking such a weird question."

The old man smiled lightly and patted her grandson's head. "Now, now, don't say such words. It is pretty normal for a soul to suffer from some confusion after it has suffered death in the Mortal World. You should be friendly to kind souls like this young man."

'What are they talking about?... Soul? Confusion? Death? Mortal World?' Liam tilted his head in confusion as he observed the two strangers...

The old man coughed into his hand, attempting to change the subject. "Let us not dwell on the past. What's important is where we go from here."

The room around them shifted again, the walls dissolving into a panorama of breathtaking scenery. Liam found himself standing on a hill overlooking a sprawling valley bathed in golden light. Rivers shimmered like threads of silver, cutting through forests that seemed to hum with life. Birds of dazzling colors flitted through the sky, their calls resonating like celestial melodies.

"Welcome to my home, young man." The old man smiled.

Liam gawked at the sight. "Okay, this... this is incredible."

The God chuckled, pleased by the reaction. "I thought you might enjoy a better view while we talk. This is a fragment of my personal realm."

Liam turned to face the divine pair. The old man now seemed even more radiant, his simple robes glinting faintly like spun gold, his kind eyes holding an eternity of wisdom. The child at his side wore a mischievous grin, his tousled hair a mess of bright golden locks, his cheeks round and flushed with life.

"Now then, young man. You must be wondering who I am and what is this place, right?" The old man smiled gently and asked.

Liam took another sip of the tea and replied. "Not really... I can already take a guess. You must be God. I might be a little slow to understand but I am not a fool..."

"Hehe... you're not as dense as you look, Big brother." The young child showed a row of white teeth and smiled.

"Uhh," Liam was embarrassed, scratching the side of his face.

The old man rubbed the head of the child and said. "Don't be rude."

Liam felt a pang of jealousy. "So, you're God's grandkid, huh? Must be nice."

The boy stuck out his tongue. "Of course! But don't be jealous, Big Brother. Grandpa's just letting you choose where to restart. That's pretty cool too, right?"

"Restart," Liam echoed, his mind racing. "I can really choose anywhere?"

The God nodded. "Indeed, but choose wisely. Not all worlds are kind to newcomers."

"I'll take my chances," Liam replied. "I've been waiting my whole life for this. Please send me to Jujutsu Kaisen!"

The boy groaned dramatically, flopping onto the ground. "Of all the places, you pick that? You must have a death wish, Big Brother. Cursed spirits and sorcerers everywhere!"

"Hey!" Liam retorted. "I've read enough and watched enough. I know what I'm getting into!"

The boy rolled his eyes. "Sure you do. And when Sukuna decides to use you as a toothpick, don't blame me."

The God laughed heartily. "You've got a point, my boy," he said, ruffling his grandson's hair.

"Very well, Liam. If Jujutsu Kaisen is your choice, then I shall honor it. But... you won't be going empty-handed."

The boy perked up. "Yes! Give him some good stuff, Grandpa. He'll need it to survive there."

"Power-ups?" Liam asked, his heart skipping a beat.

The God raised a hand, and the sky darkened momentarily. Lightning crackled, and the ground beneath them trembled. A beam of light descended, enveloping Liam in a warm, tingling sensation.

"I'll grant you abilities suited for survival," God said. "But remember, power is a double-edged sword. How you wield it will determine your path."

Liam felt the surge of energy coursing through him. He clenched his fists, sensing strength far beyond anything he had ever imagined.

"Whoa," he whispered. "This feels... incredible."

The boy grinned. "You're welcome, Big Brother. Try not to mess it up."

God smiled. "Before you go, one last thing. Live your second chance to the fullest. And perhaps, one day, we'll meet again."

Liam bowed deeply. "Thank you, sir. I won't waste this opportunity."

With a wave of the old man's hand, the golden scenery dissolved into a swirl of colors. As the light consumed him, Liam heard the boy's parting words echoing in his ears.

"Don't let Grandpa down, Big Brother! And if you see any cool cursed spirits, punch them in the face for me!"

And then, there was silence.
