Chapter 32: Chapter 31
"What could you be implying?" Mizuki tried to play it cool.
But her eyes were not still. They were moving all over the place.
Lilith took note of this.
"No. Just saying. That day when I was talking to Akatsuki in the park, you were there. Right behind a bush. Too sneaky and perfect. Akatsuki may not have noticed you, but I did." (L)
"Again, I am asking what are trying to say? Are you saying that I am stalking him?" Mizuki was still not admitting it.
"If you want to play it like that that's cool. But, I know. You are very worried about him. You can't explain why yourself, right?" (L)
"Haaaahhh. It pains me to admit it but it is right." Mizuki gave in.
Which caused her mother to frantically look at her.
"When I first saw him, he was a weirdo. Then I met him. I kept meeting him and one day I saw him. With your husband." Mizuki said to Lilith.
"Then, I kept watching him. And even today as he confessed to Momoko and gave her a flower bouquet, we watched him. But I can't explain this feeling. Every time I see him I get this feeling of affection, hatred, anger, agony, sorrow and an desire to kill all together. Can you explain?"
Mizuki threw this question at her.
"It is your right to know. It involves all of us here. So where to begin." Lilith was thinking of where to begin.
Then Mizuki's mother asked it.
"What is it? This Akatsuki guy. He seems too much of an enigma." Mizuki's mother asked.
"He is no enigma. He just bent a few rules. And manipulated all of your memories. Right, Juno?" Lilith asked Juno with an evil grin.
"I can't say I agree with it but yes. What he did was true and it is unforgivable." Juno showed a stern expression.
"Wait, the situation is turning serious. But what was so unforgivable?" Mizuki asked.
"It's better if you don't know it." Juno smiled.
"Yeah. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss." Lilith said like an enlightened person.
All of them tilted their heads at those words.
"Anyway, about the trip, should we go to Hawaii?" (J)
"Unnnn....aren't they going Hawaii as well?" (M)
"You see, we are going separately. But our trip is also sponsored by Akatsuki. He paid in full." (J)
"Just how much money do you need to do something like that?" (M)
"Akatsuki has a lot of money if nothing else. He got a lot of money from his job." (J)
"His job? I don't know what kind of job he had before but a janitor doesn't get paid that much, does he?" (M)
"That would be on me. You see, my husband and he are business partners. So he gets a fair share of money. And that janitor job was for free. He wanted to keep watching on some people. So he asked the governing body of the college for a job. And he chose the janitor." (L)
"Why are you saying something so outrageous like it's nothing?" Mizuki threw a tsukkomi at Lilith.
"Anyway, Akatsuki is paying and we are all going." Juno pushed that point.
She was being very pushy about it and a question came to Aisha's mind.
"Juno, are you really just going on a trip? I feel like you have another thing in mind." (A)
"No." Juno looked away flustered. He eyes were swimming around a lot.
With this Aisha caught on.
"I heard from Akatsuki about his parents. He said that his father is a womanizer and his mother is a worry wart. So I guess it has something to do with that."
Aisha dropped that bomb. Though it wasn't a lie as Akatsuki mentioned it before during his stay in that world.
"Wah...!!!!" Juno got flustered.
"I see. So it is that." Aisha became sure of it.
And Mizuki caught it too.
Lilith only nodded as she knew from the beginning.
Sakura who was sitting next to Lilith asked her what it was.
Lilith explained it to her and she nodded.
Only, Mizuki's mother was baffled by this.
Everything was out of the norm. And Mizuki was taking everything too well.
She was worried about her.
"Mizuki, are you alright?" She asked her daughter with concern in her voice.
She thought that maybe Mizuki wasn't feeling well.
"No. I am completely fine." She answered her disregarding her concerns.
"I see..." she said with a discouraged tone.
"Don't worry about it too much. You are also related to this." Juno told her.
"How?" She said.
"Akatsuki has done many things. And that affected you too, Shigure." Juno told her.
She was about to say something but she stopped.
She looked at her with her eyes wide open. Because Juno called her by her name.
She never told her her name. Yet Juno called her by her name.
"How do you know my name? I never told you my name." She questioned.
"I know. That's what I was trying to say. We all are responsible for Akatsuki. How he became the Akatsuki we see today. So you have to listen and understand." (J)
"Hey Juno, isn't it weird. Aren't we missing someone?" Lilith asked her.
"Ohh. You're right. I forgot about Selene-chan. Wait, I'll call her." (J)
After that a momentary silence fell and Juno broke the silence.
"She is coming." (J)
"That's great. Now all of us have gathered." Lilith said.
Although the others were thinking who it was, Juno and Lilith knew the person.
And the doorbell rang.
"I will get her." Juno went to get the guest.
And a moment later a person entered the living room.
An intensely beautiful woman. Shimmering white hair and porcelain white skin. A figure that could give even the goddess of beauty a run for her money.
Even though Mizuki and the girls were women, they saw her as a romantic candidate.
But they soon returned to their senses. She had red eyes which gave her a mysterious aura and the face of a goddess.
"Selene-chan, suppress you aura. You are releasing your aura." Juno told her.
"Oh. Sorry about that." She apologized and then the aura around her became normal.
Like something covering her was gone. And the others became normal and could look at her normally.
"And so, why are all of us here?" Selene asked.
"Call this a strategy meeting. We are currently planning how to trap Akatsuki." (J)
"You…..! You are supposed to be his mother. So why are you scheming and you even got all of them mixed in." (S)
"But, the way Akatsuki was behaving, he looked like he would leave any minute now." (J)
"So, you decided that you have to bind him." (S)
"Yes. If I don't do this, they are going interfere." (J)
Selene showed a bitter face when she heard that.
"That would be bad." Selene said.
"Umm…..can you please elaborate? I am still confused and so are the others." Mizuki asked them.
"Oh. Sorry. We got sidetracked." Juno said and stuck out her tongue trying to pose cute.
"Anyway, why did you call me here?" (S)
"It's about the trip we're going on. How about you join us too?" (J)
"I don't mind. It's been a while. And I was bored. So I think it would stave off the boredom." (S)
"With this all of the things are taken care off." Juno clapped her hands.
Then suddenly, a heavy atmosphere befell. A feeling similar to drowning. The pressure was increasing. Normal humans like Mizuki and her mother along with Aisha's group couldn't move.
The goddesses Juno and Selene were able to move as well as Lilith and Sakura.
"What is this pressure?" Juno said clenching her teeth.
"I don't know. But it's somewhat like Akatsuki's. Even so, it feels sinister compared to his." Selene answered.
"Ohhhh. You lot can speak even after being hit by my power. I guess the title pf god and the devil's wife wasn't for show. Even those humans are fine. It seems things have gotten interesting."
A voice was heard. It said that in an amused tone. But after that, the pressure increase and all of them fainted regardless.
