It took two weeks and a couple of days for Sylvia to return to work, but the wait had been worth it. She seemed better than ever, her luminous smile made my heart flutter, and the sheer elegance exuded had me drooling in more than one place.

We locked eyes as she walked the hallway, and although she turned away swiftly, I had caught a glimpse of her beet red cheeks. She was flustered, and seeing her act so shyly because of me had me feeling a different kind of way. She was too occupied by the well-wishers and sympathizers around her to notice me steadily walking up to her. But none of it mattered because Michael Black had made an appearance, and the mere sight of him had immediately shifted the energy of the entire company.
