Landis shook his head then walked over to the sofa. He sat down and waited for the men. Calder looked lost and didn't know what to say. Esai then pushed Calder to the sofa and sat him down then sat beside him. He then looked seriously at Landis and crossed his leg over his other one. "My brother became absolutely adorable in front of others... Is it because he lost his virginity? And if he keeps sleeping with women will he became more cute?" Esai asked.
"Well that depends.... What do you mean he became more adorable?" Landis asked seriously. Calder's jaw dropped. He couldn't believe the flow of the conversation. "He showed the sweetest, most pitiful looks in the word in front of staff and the ladies." Esai reported. "Ahh. That." Landis sighed as he made himself more comfortable.
"Ya, no. He's been doing that in front of others since he woke up." Landis said as he looked at the brothers. Esai shot Calder a doubtful look but Calder was still not speaking. "Ask Rutley if you don't believe me or the soldiers or even Wystan. They've all seen his facial expression change and they haven't stopped talking about it." Landis said with a smirk.
Esai's face darkened.
He didn't like the answer. He then brought his cold gaze to Landis. "When should I expect his babies?" Esai asked Landis seriously.
Calder's face became ghostly as he looked at Esai. Landis coughed as he tried to mask his laughter but Esai was dead serious. "Big brother... you do know I'm a boy right?" Calder asked in utter shook. "Of course I do! I just want to know how long before I can hold my niece or nephew." Esai replied sharply. "Why?" Calder asked.
"You're not as soft as I remember." Esai answered bluntly. Landis hugged his body as he curled up. Calder couldn't believe his eyes or ears. He just moved his gaze away Esai and leaned against the sofa as his brother's words echoed in his head. "Hey, sir buffer. Are you done with your laughing fit? I am being dead serious here. When can I hold a bundle of softness?" Esai said with a straight face and his hands were raised as he held something imaginary.
Landis started to breath heavily as he uncurled himself. "S-sorry Esai... Can you please repeat what you asked?" Landis asked as he moved to wipe the tears from his eyes. "Landis I don't like repeating myself." Esai said darkly. "Alright, alright. You can't even let an old man have a little fun." Landis said with a bright smile.
"Generally women are pregnant for ten months. To be more exact it is 40 weeks. We calculate that from the day of her last menstrual cycle. As the weeks go by the woman in question will start to gain quite a bit of weight in their mid section. Depending on what they are craving, how the carry themselves and beauty you can determine what gender the child is. After the baby is born you can hold him or her right away but play time is restricted." Landis started to explain.
"Beauty? Why beauty?" Calder asked as he finally snapped back into reality. "Well with your family blood line it has been mostly males that have been born into the family but women's tales say that girls steal their mother's beauty." Landis said seriously.
"I can tell you for certain that's bullsh*t." Calder said with a humpf. "Have can you be so sure?" Landis asked. "Old women's tales are pretty accurate." Landis continued.
"No they are not! Some just like to spout nonsense because they weren't educated enough. Honestly it comes down to the nutritional intake. They most have lacked their prenatal vitamins and blamed their daughter's for their body deterioration. When my sisters were pregnant and even after birth they all still looked stunning! Even my own mother was still gorgeous though she gave birth to so many of us!" Calder said with pride.
"Calder..." Landis called out with concern but Esai raised his hand to silence him. "Must have been fun being the cool uncle." Esai said with a small smile. "I wish! I wasn't the cool uncle! I think I was only liked by the female tweens cause we could talk about romance novels. Other then that I was the butt at the end of the jokes! Just because of my horrible choices in love! Can you believe it?!" Calder shouted.
"But they never stopped loving you, right?" Esai asked. "Well... ya. Even though I was the black sheep they all treated me wonderfully. They worried and I could see that my lack of my own family made them, them.... then Ting Ting came in and... and... it hurts. It really hurts." Calder said as he clutched his head. "Landis!" Esai said as he grabbed Calder. "Calder look at me. Come on look at me and focus on the light." Landis said ad he pulled out a pen light from his pocket.
"No one will love me like," Calder started but then a stinging sensation stopped his words from coming out. He slowly started to focus his thoughts and started to forget what he was trying to say. He looked at Landis then Esai. They both had matching worried faces. "What happened?" Calder asked. "Who are you?" Esai asked. "What?" Calder asked then felt a metallic taste in his mouth. He brought up his hand an touched his mouth. There was a wet sensation.
Calder looked at the tips of his fingers and saw blood. "Did you punch me?" Calder asked in awe. "WHO ARE YOU?!" Esai yelled as his eyes glowed murderously. "Calder." Calder replied. "Taki." Esai called out and Calder flinched. "T-Taki? Who said anything about Taki." Calder said as he broke out into a cold sweat.
"Calder, do you remember your life as Taki?" Esai asked as he stared at Calder. "How did you know?" Calder asked as his eyes rounded. Esai quickly grabbed Calder and pulled him into an embrace. "Thank G*d! You're really back! The last five years have been nothing but a nightmare." Esai said as relief washed over him. Landis stayed silent as he watched the two and it sent a chill down Calder's spine.
