After thousands of years of silence, the world of cultivation once again welcomed the golden age.
While the prodigies and sects’ various disciples in the world competed, Zhou Feng had only a skill panel. And the panel would only give him passive skills.

Strength: When you are not fighting, you will slowly regain 1% of your health.
Blade-Sharpening Rock: You will gain 1 point every time you fight.
Age Gracefully: Every year you live, you gain Defense +1.
Armor: You will have armor of a certain ratio every time you attack.
Dao Enlightenment: Increase of 1% to your familiarity with cultivating the Dao.
…
“All sorts of passive skills are vested within me. I cultivate passively!”
“As long as I can live until the end, then I will become the strongest!”

Write a reviewFirst non-brain dead MC in a trial read in quite some time. Interesting spin on the passive skill system trope. I like that the setting is located in a demonic cultivation sect. Will continue to read if it makes it through trial read.
It’s one of my favourite mtl novels to read at the moment. It’s really fast paced amd differs from the normal cultivation development as the protagonist upgrades his cultivation realm regardless of what cost it might have. He’s hot-blooded for he chooses to develop his passives in an active way, when he could simply ***** <— spoilers so I’m not going to add more to this statement. He is most certaintly not someone who is good-hearted, instead, he’s selfish, cruel and reckless, although this might be just the result of how he was affected by what’s happening around him. Overall, I think it’s a really good novel but there’s only around 270 chapters so I might change my opinion later on. It’s my first review, so I’m sorry if I missed something you were looking out for. If you have anything you want to ask me regarding this novel, leave a comment on this review and I’ll do my best to answer it.
translation quality is good, the premises is good but the concept of Tri gu sect rule is not gonna work. Even in demonic sect that kind of rule only make their demise faster (unless the sect leader have golden finger). I know the author wanted to use the concept of raising Gu in a pot as sect rule but it just not gonna work with human. Ok say that the higher up did not care about outer disciples at all, that inner disciples can send their people to plunder the sect resources like meat Gu food and than when the Quota is not reached the higher up will punish all the outer disciples(idk maybe kill them and take they Gu to eat or something) that is pure stupidity. Say that if they do that, than sect outer disciples will become less and inturn make the new inner disciple lesser, this will cause a gap in their sect generation compare to other a lil smart(not a lot just a lil bit smart) that have rule slightly good rule to prevent their sect resources go to other place(I.e sell to outside market to fill some people pockets), the said Tri-Gu sect gonna suffer a great lost if their sect enter a war with other sect because of generations gap. That still did not count when they Sect fight with Gu nemesis(phoenix, fire type cultivator) as I remember the author keep saying this is dog eat dog kind of world, it will make more so for other sect to target Tri-Gu sect. That if, if the author care about logic at all. But if He(or she) did not, than... just ignore all my comments above☝🏼🙅🏼🙈
one of the worst novel I have read .I hope it never gets chosen. the mc is stupid extreme one at that. his decisions make me want to find him and kill him 1000 times
Another trash trial novel. ............................................................................................. ..................
It does not have any logic to the rules created by this sect , it is totally bizarre how the author seriously thought that such organization would work in real life
Extremely bad writing and translation quality, borderline unreadable. This wn.com after all. Nobody comes here with expectations of quality. But its bad even after that.
This novel is full of blatant contradictions, repetitive passages of text, and an overabundance of unnecessary or redundant explanations. It is an absolutely dreadful novel nowhere near deserving of as high a score as it currently has.
1. Writing quality is bearable. 2. Story development is very forced. Every passive skills become useful with no setup in the next sentence. He would be peaceful for 3 months, gain a battle skill, and a conflict will arrise out of nowhere in the next sentence. 3. The MC is dumb. Sometimes having a dumb MC can be fun in a comedy. The problem is that this story tries to be dark. This makes the MC just frustrating. The only reason he can survive even a single day is that he got lucky and has a system. Worst of all, the MC is arrogant and thinks that he is smart while making the dumbest actions and statements. 4. Not sure about stability so I gave it a 3 as a middle value. 5. The background is terrible. The sect makes no sense and the rules the author introduces gets broken in the next. He does try to think of a "fresh" twist to a sect so I give 2 stars for effort. The problem is that some archetypes are there for a reason. Sometimes that is just an inevitable outcome of logical progression. An example of this would be greedy and selfish people always being in power as the antagonist. This is inevitable when only those that are greefy and selfish can climb over others to gain the wealth and power they have. Once you try to subvert expectations and break archetypes, it instead just breaks logic. So good attempt but poor execution. Overall it was a poorly executed story with an interesting premise. I would not recommend.
incredibly mediocre. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I enjoy the development of the MC in this one; He doesn't immediately become overpowered, and having him tied to a Gu that will eventually kill him is pretty neat and helps to give him motivation to actually progress. Pretty nice preview, looking forward to see it progress.
a good novel until the mc is raped in 479 by a woman he helped get rid of a curse because she could blackmail him with his secret. however, the mc could have ordered her not to betray him through the curse. besides, he's killed for less. just disappointed I would like to give 0 stars or - stars.
absolutely do not read. Either author or translator made a lot of mistakes. All you have to look at is description: Strength: When you are not fighting, you will slowly regain 1% of your health. Age Gracefully: Every year you live, you gain Defense +1. Strength ? you regain health ???????? It makes no sense. There is more -> its wrong!! MC doesn't have this skill, he gains +1 Defense every time he takes damage, not by every year. Even description of novel is wrong. MC gets bloodthirsty GU, 5 chapters later this GU is called Meateating GU ..... not worth anyone's time.
Way better then I expected from trial read and it's novel title/synopsis. The character doesn't get an instant oh I have 100% block or 100% damage reflection passive instantly.
Fast-paced and average. Sounds like a worse copy of some good novels I like in similar setting/system. His passives is a plot armor that appears when he needs it as well. Only the thing someone else mentioned - that schemes and lies are shown in a unique way - is perhaps something worth reading for, but I am not interested in this atm. My opinion is subject to change in future if I ever decide to pick it up again. But I will pass on it for now. The novel didn't captivate me at all.
Story just contradicts itself every other paragraph, one chapter his control has increased . next chapter his control has fallen one chapter his Qi is pure . next chapter it's muddy . one chapter he wants to do X . next chapter doing X is just out of the question . one chapter he gets an inheritance . next chapter it's too bothersome to actually read it .
I'm giving up on this story improving in the late 400s (476 I think) and I'll say with a bit of bitterness that the sunk cost kept me reading much longer than curiosity or continued interest. The passive system in the earlier chapters is, while not original, it was not overpowered. There was potential for the system to develop and at points the system was expanded upon but at several turns those developments were abandoned entirely. By later chapters, drawing is arbitrary- there are detailed chapters of MC analyzing their current build, pointing out where the system has yet to completely break with the world building only for the system to give a handout at that exact moment... By then the MC is already jumping realms and tanking would-be threats so the introduction of more passive skills at that point is just padding and fluff. A number of story threads get abandoned early that, in my personal opinion, would have been more entertaining to read than a repeat of new city where everyone is stronger and geniuses scoff at MCs powerlevel. MC character development is something like going from just trying to survive, to planning to live long enough for the system to produce hundreds of skills, to a sense of self-awareness that their situation is constant danger and death is real possibility (if you allow a suspension of disbelief) and then finally having a ridiculous extra life and throwing caution to the wind. Highly disappointed in a work of fiction that shows a bit of self-awareness regarding common tropes in this sort of cultivation-based world building but still follows the template/formula and lets whatever originality it had at the start completely collapse on itself.

Only trial read that is interesting to me. Hope the story is picked and that the main character doesn't turn into a hero type.[img=exp][img=coins]
