Chapter 59: Conditions and Farewell

Georgina wiped her tears while looking away from Warren. She stood up and composed herself before turning to him. But as soon as their gaze met, her tears fell again.

She desperately wiped it, but it didn't stop.

"G-Gina, what's wrong? Did that woman hurt you?" He was about to walk towards her, but Marga came behind and stopped him. "Big sis? Let go of me. Why do you stop me? Don't you see that my sister's crying?"

"Stay here, Warren. You shouldn't jump into their conversation."

"Why can't I? Am I not part of this family? Why does Gina always needs to get hurt?"

Marga looked away instead of answering him.

"Gina."

"S-stay where you are, Warren. Don't involve yourself in my complicated life. You should live normally."

"What are you saying?"

Georgina heaved a deep sigh and smiled at him before she turned to her mother. She stared at her face and chuckled. "I desperately wished that... At least, even a little, you once saw me as your child. Throughout this year, I'm longing for a mother's love."

Coleen flinched because of her words. "What?"

"Maybe, I'm a molester child. I reminded you of that dark past you wanted to forget. But I'm innocent." She said. "Like other children, I want a normal family. I want to have someone whom I can call a mom and a father whom I can call a dad. But you're nowhere to be seen. I grew up without a mother on my side. Even after all the bad deeds you'd done to me, I still wished for you to accept me as your child. Though it's impossible."

Georgina remained silent and stared at her while tears kept falling. But Coleen avoided her gaze—biting her lower lips to resist crying.

"Like what you wanted, I accepted my defeat. This revenge game, I'll surrender. I-I will live like you wanted me to do."

"What are you talking about?"

"I will leave everyone's life like I never existed. Besides, I am a sinner's child."

"Georgina? What are you talking about? Why are you leaving? Are you leaving me too?" Warren asked, resisting Marga's grip.

"I decided to live like I never existed. You don't need to hurt anyone. I'm punishing myself worst than you have in mind. You can take all my shares in the company. I don't have rights since I'm not dad's child." She said. "All I wanted for you is to take care of Warren and leave Van alone. I have one word. I will leave."

"Do you think I'll believe you?"

Georgina smiled at her mother. "Aren't you going to believe me for the last time? There's a high chance this will be the last day we will see each other. I'm too desperate to straighten everything I ruined. I will start with you."

"W-what?"

"Let's forget you have a daughter, and I have a mother. We shouldn't exist in each other life. The truth is I called off the wedding because I think, rather than the arranged marriage, the worst punishment you can give is to forget that she exists."

"Gina, are you kidding? Take me. Dad wasn't here. No one will love me here. Don't leave me."

Georgina glanced to Warren's direction but looked away as soon as their gaze met. Her brother's tears fell nonstop while trying to escaped from Marga's grip. It's full of sadness, confusion and questions, but Georgina couldn't explained anymore. She promised to himself that she won't involved her brother, it's the least thing to do for Warren and their father.

"P-please, leave everyone alone."

"I won't believe you. I only believe what I see and not what I heard."

"Then go on and see it for yourself. You fooled me many times, but I never did the same. I did everything you told me to do for these past years. We ended up like this because you're the first one who fooled me." She said, chuckling. "But this time, let me be with Van. One day could do."

"See? You're just doing this for a sho—"

"I want to leave in my own way, I don't want to repeat the wrong things I'd done in the past. Just this once, please let me be. I want to bid my farewell to him in a human-like way."

"Gina, how about me? Why are you ignoring me? If you're eager to go then take me. I don't want here. Please, let me come." Warren voice echoed in the huge house as he fell on the floor, wailing. "W-why are you leaving me like Dad? I hate this."

"I'm sorry, Warren. Go on and live your own life. There's no way I could always look out for you. If you're not aware, I'm really at my limit." She said, clenching both fists. "I'm just a lost child like you, don't burdened me with more responsibility. It's enough for playing adult, I'm tired."

"Gina?!" Marga said as both eyes widened while looking at her in disbelief.

She glanced to her brother, but it only took a second before she looked away and wipe those tears.

"I'm leaving the day after tomorrow. You can see it for yourself if you want but don't let me take a glance of your filthy face. After that, let's officially cut the ties that bind us along with those people I interacted throughout these years." Georgina said. "The day after tomorrow, let your secretary come to me so I could sign the paper for transferring my shares with you. Until then, for just a day, don't interfere with my life."

"Huh? I didn't let you do whatever sh*t you want."

"Hey, evil witch. Aren't you too shameless? I'm taking responsibility for being alive, does it hurt your pride to do your job? Take responsibility for bringing me to this world. At least, for one day, act as mother who would support her child. I'm not hoping for more."

"G-Gina... I don't want this. I'm coming with you. Promise, I won't be a burdened to you, just let me come. O-okay?" Warren said.

"Warren, wait."

Marga got startled when he suddenly got up, running downstairs. He even stumbled down at the end of the stairs and fell on the floor, which made Marga gasped and hurried to help him. But Warren shoved her hands and gritted his teeth as he stood up—walking towards Georgina's direction full of tears in eyes.

"L-let me come... Gina..."

"Hold him." Coleen said. She gave a sign to those men-in-black standing in the corner. "You won't go anywhere, Warren."

"Argh! No. Let me go. I don't need you, I need Gina. Let me go."

Georgina gritted her teeth upon seeing Warren trying hard to resist from the grip of two men-in-black, who's holding him. She wanted to go and take him away from them, but it's impossible. To win the battle of wits that she started, she need to let go and restrained herself—emotionally, mentally or physically. She involved many people for this revenge. If she goes back, the opportunity her father gave will be in vain.

A little sacrifice was all she need.

She heaves a deep sigh before calming herself. Without words, she walked towards Warren and glared to those men-in-black—removing their hands.

"G-Gina, take me with yo..."

"Stop resisting Warren. There's no way I would take you with me."

"But, Gina. I don't want to live here. Take me with you."

"Warren, stay here. Listen to me and do as I say or else, I'll get mad." She said, wiping his tears away. "You don't need to force yourself to love those people you hate. Stay here and used that chance to become whatever you want to be. Don't grew up like a pushover me. Soon, you'll understand everything. Be strong."

"G-Gina."

"Marga's here with you. She's like a real sister to you, you're not alone here. Stay here, okay?"

"W-Warren, Gina's right. You should stay here with us. I'll take care of you." Marga said, who came behind him.

"Anyway, I'm leaving. Take care of yourself. Let's meet when fate let it come."

Georgina stepped back—glancing to Marga, who just nodded.

A brief bittersweet smile escaped her lips before turning back to Coleen's direction as she saw her standing with crossed arms and furrowed brows.

"I hope everything's clear to us now, evil witch. It's really a surprised to hear about the truth, I couldn't believe that you fooled your husband twice and died not knowing anything or you blaming me for looking like the man you hate."

"What?"

"How come I'm repenting for the sins I don't know while you're just standing here blaming everything to someone. It's ridiculous, right?"

"Y-you..."

"I said, whatever I wanted to say. I don't regret those words I blurted out or the tears I shed for a mere person like you."

"Huh? Who told you to..."

"I'm leaving, mom."

"W-what?!" Coleen said with widened eyes upon hearing the word, 'mom' from Georgina's mouth—making her speechless for a few seconds.

It's the first time since whoever knows when the last time she heard that word from her. For some reason, an unexplainable prickling pain kept poking her heart that she couldn't made an eye contact to Georgina. Not until she heard her laughing from a low to bursting out loud.

"I don't know saying that ridiculous word made my entire body creeps out. Argh, that was a good laugh." Georgina said, wiping the tears falling from laughing so hard. "I prefer calling you evil witch, it's much normal for both of us."

"Georgina."

"I'm leaving."

***

Upon walking without prior destination for hours, Georgina unknowingly ended up in a place she didn't expected to come. It's the old park where she and Van used to go when they're together. It's probably the place that saw how their relationship grew stronger as days passed.

She heard that the place will get demolished anytime soon and replace by an amusement park. Fact or not, she won't see it anymore.

A chuckled escaped on her mouth as she continued to walk and only stopped upon seeing a familiar tree house. She strode towards the tree and touched the trunk as if memories flooding inside her mind. 'It never changed, same old tree,' it's the only words she could thought at this situation.

"I like her."

"Who do you like, dude? What are you getting worked up for?"

"Tsk. I said, I like Gia so back off and don't try to even win her. She's mine."

"Pfft. You can't even confessed to her, what made you think she's yours?"

"Oh, good timing. Gina's coming with her friends." His friend said. "Georgina, here. Spare a bit of time on us, it seems like my great jealous friend here wanted to say something."

"What? I have something to do with my friends so make it quick."

"Dude, you better not chicken out on the real thing. Go and say it."

"H-huh? W-what are you talking abou—"

"Make it quick, the guys might be waiting on us."

"Guys?"

"Van, were going on a group blind date with the students from the all boys school."

"No. You can't."

"What made you think you have rights to tell me what to do? We're wasting our time here girls, let's go."

"I-I..."

"What?"

"I-I lik—"

"If you wanted to say something just say it. D*mn, you're annoying."

"Tsk. I like you. Satisfied? I like the hell of you so much that it angered me hearing you're going to a blind date."

A bittersweet smile escaped on Georgina's lips upon remembering Giovanni's unexpected confession way back on the day. Everyone present on this old park was left dumbfounded. He's always a man of few words and cold, but that day he showed another side of him.

It's still a vivid memories.

His sincere gaze, raging voice, and those beet red ears out of embarrassment, it's still in her memories.

"G-Gia?!"

Georgina jolted out in surprised upon hearing a familiar voice from behind as her body stiffened.
