Chapter 157: Picking Guests

— Lilith POV — 

"You know what I hate the most about events we don't organize?" Alexi grumbled as we made our way through the room, people greeting us along the way.

"What?" I dared to ask him.

"The fact that I can't control who is here," he pouted.

I couldn't help but laugh at his silly reason. 

"Alexi, if we avoided everyone we disliked we'd be living in our own bubble—"

"I'd like to live in our own bubble," Alexi said as he kissed me.

I smiled against his lips knowing my husband was feeling possessive. 

He might think I haven't noticed it, but whenever we were around other people he always found a way to put his lips on mine or to hold me close.

I was pretty sure it was for him to mark his territory as if to tell people that I was already taken.

If people couldn't see the ridiculously large diamond on my finger next to my wedding ring, then I was pretty sure my pregnancy was a dead giveaway that I wasn't available.
