Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Harry's Distress

**Chapter 14: Harry's Distress**

"To master magical power is quite simple. You just need to find the flow of magical power during each magical upheaval and identify the barriers in your body," Moon explained as he led Harry underground.

This was Harry's first time seeing the underground of Moonlight Castle, and it was not as special as he had imagined. The aged wooden floor occasionally creaked underfoot. The corridor was littered with ancient bottles and assorted items.

Moon calmly stated, "You can't expect me to tidy up an entire castle with too little time."

Harry looked awkward. Uncle Moon, don't you think it's a bit late to explain this now?

This week, he had already witnessed how chaotic this castle was!

The underground corridors were wider than those above ground, with considerable distances between rooms.

Oil lamps flickered in the corridor, and the orange-red flames danced in the perpetual darkness.

Entering a room labeled "Potion Room," Harry found various glass instruments, crucibles, and scales. Besides the alchemical equipment, there were piles of herbs, animal eyes, carcasses, and even pickled cucumbers stored in jars.

Pickled cucumbers?!

Moon didn't notice Harry's gaze and began collecting various herbs and ingredients from the cabinet.

"You've already learned to prepare vitality potions and gained mature experience in potion-making," Moon said. "Now, I'll teach you how to make Invigorating Elixir."

This magical potion derived from the Fury Elixir was a combat potion that could significantly boost magical power and increase spellcasting efficiency.

Of course, the Invigorating Elixir wasn't as potent. It merely heightened a wizard's emotional peak, making magical power more agitated.

Effective for stimulating young wizards.

After explaining the logic between potion-making and magical power training, Moon started concocting the potion.

"I'll do it once, and you should watch closely. Until you independently control your magical power, you need to make all potions yourself. I won't help you. If you make a mistake, resulting in explosions, corrosion, or consequences like diarrhea or intestinal perforation... I'll do my best to ensure you don't die!"

Harry broke into a cold sweat listening and nodded repeatedly. He stared at Moon intently, trying to engrave each potion-making method, ratio, and processing time into his mind.

An hour later, a pool of crimson liquid appeared in the crucible. Moon poured it out and allowed Harry time for follow-up questions.

After more than ten minutes, this introductory potion-making class came to an end.

Outside the castle, Moon set up a dummy on the lawn, saying, "If you don't have a target for magical outbursts, aim at it. You can imagine it as anyone—Dudley, your aunt and uncle, or anyone you dislike at school."

Holding a small bottle containing the red Invigorating Elixir, Harry was somewhat nervous. He fidgeted on the grass.

Observing Harry's tension, Moon didn't say much. Some things didn't need excessive instructions. Everyone would be nervous the first time.

Watching Harry drink the potion, Moon returned to Moonlight Castle and started reading the book he bought from Diagon Alley.

The red sofa had become his form, lying down. The leather felt initially cool but gradually warmed, feeling like he was melting into it.

Lucifer added some firewood for himself, hoping to make it burn brighter. Before long, the flames began to undulate, characteristic of his unique "sleeping position."

Without opting for advanced spell books or seemingly unique Transfiguration, Moon first opened "Modern History of Magic" by Basset.

He used to love powerful spells and novel magic. Now, he preferred to find the development context in magical history before conducting systematic magical research.

Take lessons from history, learn from the ancients...

Unlike the warmth inside the castle, even in summer, the winds in the Scandinavian Mountains were bone-chilling, especially at the mountaintop.

However, Harry didn't mind the cold wind. At this moment, he only felt his blood surging, and his mind was in chaos.

It was like the state Dudley was in when he hadn't fully woken up, casually throwing tantrums.

Should...

"Hey—"

Harry, three or four meters away from the dummy, extended his hands forward and grunted, imagining himself sending the dummy flying with a punch.

"Ha—"

Harry exerted force again.

A few blades of grass drifted in front of Harry's eyes as the mountain wind blew, but the dummy remained the same, and so did he.

No change at all.

"No, no..." Harry scratched his head, feeling annoyed. "Not right! It's not like this!"

So irritating—

He felt extremely agitated, but there was no outlet for release. Like a balloon blown beyond its limit, he swayed in the air, trembling.

After being restless for a while, Harry suddenly raised his head, looking at the dummy's face, trying to envision it as Dudley's face.

However, no matter how he told himself Dudley was right in front of him, it was in vain.

Where was Dudley so thin?! Whether it was the Dursleys or someone bullying him at school, feelings of disgust, anger, and even extreme hatred had almost vanished.

In the past week, the Dursleys had treated him like air. He wasn't bullied, so there was no reason to hate.

Harry stared fixedly at the dummy's face. This dummy was no different from those used in malls to display clothes, just without facial features...

Somehow, maybe due to the potion or other influences, a face suddenly overlapped with the dummy in Harry's vision.

Simultaneously, his scar on the forehead began to throb, causing his facial features to contort involuntarily.

Scenes of flickering green light began to flash before his eyes. A grotesque figure with no nose or hair, accompanied by the dummy in front of him, started to intertwine.

The pain on his forehead, the already restless thoughts, the incessant light flashing before his eyes, screams in his ears, and the sinister, chilling laughter continually filled his mind...

With an angry roar from Harry, a surge of power suddenly erupted from him.

With a loud bang, the dummy, as if hit by a truck, was sent flying backward, crashing into the stones behind, tilting and rolling until it hit a giant redwood and stopped.

Harry, bending over, covered his scarred forehead.

At this moment, Harry recalled Moon's uncle being attacked a week ago.

It was exactly the same...

"Something's wrong. Maybe I should ask Uncle Moon..." Harry muttered, forcibly straightening up. The mountain wind blew, bringing a refreshing feeling to his body soaked in sweat.

Inside the room, Moon had just finished reading the table of contents and synopsis of the book, not yet flipping open the first chapter when he saw Harry open the door and walk in.

"Uncle Moon, I have some questions." Harry couldn't wait to speak.

Moon nodded, looking at Harry. "What questions?"

"I want to understand myself," Harry said, then felt he expressed it poorly. "My scar, it's a bit off. I... My scar suddenly hurt a lot just now. Then, I saw a figure using a wand to cast magic at me, and a woman rushed over, blocking the magic. It turned into..."

For some reason, the more Harry spoke, the more he felt uneasy.

He took a deep breath, recalling Moon's advice not to show emotions on his face and to remain as calm as possible.

"I feel that woman is my mother," he said.
