Chapter 31: Start of Term
Ching* Ching*
The sound of blades clashing against a shield screeches in a 1 meter radius. The plump young man holding the shield in one hand swings his sword in the other forward as it cuts down toward the ground which hit nothing
Instantly, the young man's sword swings back up as if he predicted that his attack would be dodged
Cling*
His sword hit another sword as his opponent jumped and flipped above him with one sword still free. The young man brought his shield up to block the second sword as the two fighters came into a deadlock in the hair, "Good block, let's keep going." the twin bladed youth said
The other young man nodded as the two figures flew back before flinging towards each other like a magnet and clashed. One of the twin swords faced the ground whilst the other stayed above the swordsman
His flurry of attacks was blocked by the other youth's shield or parried with a sword of his own. In the midst of their intense battle, one of the youths said "Hey fatty Wang, I think you suit greatswords better."
"Hmm, I guess I do but it'll be harder to attack and defend at the same time without a shield." Wang Tao replied. "No problems I'll help you adjust, now take out the beginner greatsword and continue this training." Ye Qin added
The two brothers stepped back as Wang Tao put away his sword and shield then took out a huge greatsword that is even taller than he is and over 40cm in width. Wang Tao slammed it into the ground as he jumped into the air and grabbed it by the handle with one hand before sitting on top of it like it were his throne
Just seconds after sitting on the greatsword, Wang Tao's body started shaking before he fell off the sword and crashed into the ground blowing up a storm of dust
"..."
"Might wanna do that when you're skinnier…" Ye Qin said
"..."
"Right…" he laughed as he scratched the back of his head and picked himself up. He then held the greatsword by the side before throwing it up into the air with his powerful strength and grabbed it by the handle just before it landed
Holding the huge greatsword that can both attack and defend, Wang Tao jumped forward and swung downward at Ye Qin. Ye Qin too jumped forward and shifted his body sideways and swung both his arms at the greatsword like a whip
Cling*
He then kicked the greatsword and flipped off it into the air and formed a cross with his twin swords as he dove downward towards Wang Tao. Wang Tao held his ground as he pointed his large greatsword at the center of Ye Qin's swords and poked it
Ting*
The three swords created metallic sounds as they cut into each other with neither giving out to the other. Ye Qin then let go of his swords and dropped to the ground as he kicked his swords into the air and then aimed his foot towards Wang Tao's chin
Wang Tao countered by spinning himself to get rid of the swords and block the kick, he then slammed his greatsword into the ground creating spider web like cracks as Ye Qin grabbed his plunged swords
"Seems like you got used to it fast." Ye Qin said
"Uh huh, you were right, greatswords really do suit me." Wang Tao replied
The two brothers continued sparring against each other all day in the game as they waited for their friends to catch up to them. This process repeated for days in the game and hours in the real world, the two brother's battle experiences increased by a large margin as they got used to battling
When they didn't spar with each other, they did some quests and battled some monsters giving them some levels. Eventually, their friends made it to the second town in the midst of the brothers sparring. Their friends watched in amazement as the two brothers battled like inborn warriors of the ancient era
They continued sparring as the others caught up to them in level and eventually formed a five man party together
Walking up to the guild to take on dozens of quests at once, the party left to complete them all. Eventually, they completed the quests making them all rise up in the ranks until they became a D rank party. Ye Qin and Wang Tao led the party with their strong offensive power whilst receiving support from their friends
Subjugation quests such as killing orcs and kobolds became easy as they completed them rapidly causing their ranks to increase even more. At the end of the week, they managed to come close to C ranked adventures and became over lv 25
Equipping themselves in fill Rare quality set, they received set bonuses that further boosted their strong points. After promoting their guild ranks, the party trained together to increase their overall teamwork and individual combat strength. Naturally, Ye Qin and Wang Tao didn't train together and instead helped the others improve
After days of training, the others became much stronger. Eventually, the time for the school year begun and they got off for some time

"Welcome back second years, third years, fourth years and even fifth years! I hope you have enjoyed your short break. Today the new first years will be joining us as you can already tell, everyone give them a round of applause!" the principal said
Clap* Clap*
"Now, that you're all back… It's time you prepare for the upcoming year. Whether you will be joining the expedition to the Forbidden Lands or the Monster Realm, or improving on your respective courses."
"Enough of me talking, it's time for the Student Council President and the Vice President to take my place and continue the rest of this assembly." he ended
"Man even though this is a university it sure runs like a regular high school…" Wang Tao said quietly in the crowd. Ye Qin and the others nodded as they sat down at the front of their year close to the main stage
Clap* Clap*
The sound of heels taps along the stage as two silhouettes approach the stage. From the shadows, a beautiful young woman who is roughly 170 cm in height wearing the uniform stood in front of the mic whilst a young man who is roughly 182 cm tall stood behind her. With a single glance, one could tell that the two were siblings
It wouldn't even be a stretch to predict that they are twins just by looking at them. Both the siblings had their signature golden pupils with brown hair that is visible to all to clearly see
"First of all, I would like to congratulate the new first years for making it here today and to thank you also for choosing the Nine Peak Academy. I, Mo Ningzhu your Student Council President along with my brother Mo Xingyun the vice president would like to welcome back the older students."
Clap* Clap*
"Intriguing, so the sister is the president whilst the brother is the vice huh. Must be a lazy one." Wang Tao said
"..."
Mo Ningzhu then continued her speech for a while until the principal came back. The principal ended the assembly as each year went back to their respective buildings for lessons

Back at the 1st year section of the academy, Ye Qin and the others sat down in front of their homeroom teacher. Yang Xinyi stood across from the five students and displayed some information behind her
She asked a few basic questions which Ye Qin answered perfectly. Yang Xinyi nodded as she said "As expected, an exemplary answer." She then asked the others some questions before ending the class there and letting them go free
After class, Ye Qin and Wang Tao went to take a look at each of the nine peaks of the campus. Leaving the first year building, they traveled to the central building before heading into a teleportation gate to reach the Blacksmith's Peak

When they stepped out, the two met with a hot and humid mountain

The barren ground appeared like a scorched volcano as they walked forward and heard the sounds of metal clashing

Walking around, they saw students wearing long pants and just a tank top. Even after thousands of years of blacksmithing, the tradition of wearing long baggy pants and a dull looking tank top never changed
Ding* Ding*
Each person slammed their hammer down with a different tempo, even the very sounds of the metal bending sounded different. Around each of them, a small workshop of their own that fit all the necessities. Walking down towards the large gate that towered over them, the two boys continued walking forward and saw an old man with a large frame hammering away at a piece of unheated metal
With one look, one could tell that he treated his work seriously. As sweat dripped down from his forehead, he continued hammering away even as it soaked his entire being
