Chapter 32: Exam Hall
The path towards the academy was so long that Kairos and Irosa had to walk 10 minutes to reach their classroom.
The exam hall was separated from the main academy building to prevent the academy students from entering and helping anyone pass.
There were also strict rules on exams. Such as, if anyone is caught cheating, he had to spend a year in jail. So everyone was on their own like a solo player on a battlefield.
Kairos took his seat and placed his tag on the receiver to confirm his exam ID. After that, he looked around and saw there wasn't a huge crowd inside the room. Only 20 were present.
I guess the exam is really important for the nation.
The subject he chose was similar to the Heroes. Since his objective was to kill them before his death, he had to make them friends in order to uncover their weaknesses. And by doing that, he can easily kill them and lift the death tag hanging around his heart. He was sick of being the slave of the six-horned devil.
"I am going to pass no matter what!"
A girl next to him heard his voice so she laughed a little and said, "You? You're going to pass with that confidence? You must be crazy! Only 5% pass the exam every year. And the Heroes are going to participate in the classes too so this year's question is going to be super difficult!"
Kairos looked at her smile and said, "Yes, whatever."
At that time, a screen appeared in front of everyone with a text message, 'Please take your seats. The question will be distributed in 2 minutes.'
Kairos took out his Epen and turned it on to get ready for the show and two minutes later, a floating screen appeared in front of him.
It was a transparent screen with questions that only had access to the user. So nobody but the user could see what was written on and write on it.
This is really convenient. Back in my world, there was a phase about cheating. It was 'Cheating is absolute education if you don't get caught.'
Well, I never cheated on my exam so it's not that difficult for me.
Kairos started to write down the answers that he knew and left those which were a little difficult to answer. Because he didn't want to score high, he skipped so many questions to keep his level average.
On the other hand, Irosa went crazy after seeing how easy the question was. So she wrote everything without missing one question and completed 100% of the test.
"My exam is done!!"
She looked back and saw two students that his owner was targeting for a long time. She looked pretty powerful and ignorant so after the exam was over, she approached one.
It was Max, the silent crusher named by his owner.
Even though there were so many students who had white or colourful natural hair, Irosa's body build-up was extraordinary.
Her golden long locks and bright shining eyes were absolutely beautiful. Her beauty resembled the goodness of the sun so it was normal for her to attract attention around her.
But on the inside, she was just as petty and cunning as her owner. Dealing with weaker beings was a play for her. So she targeted Max as her first opponent to make her owner's plan progress smoothly.
"Well, hello. Aren't you one of the summoned heroes?"
Max looked at her and saw no opening. She was powerful and he immediately thought of her as his sparring partner. But he kept his cool and asked, "Yes. But who are you?"
"I am Irosa Fransis. It's nice to meet you."
Irosa gave him her hand for a handshake but Max refused to do so. He put his hands back inside his pocket and said, "We'll see each other in Class A after a week. Then we can have a good conversation. Anyway, I'll go now."
He turned his back and met with the other heroes to go back to the imperial palace to rest or throw a tantrum.
Heheh… One is almost captured.
Out of nowhere, Kairos popped right beside her and said, "You did a great job."
"Ekkk!!!!!!! O…owner!! When did you get beside me?"
"It's already been a minute though. You were busy thinking about Max so I guess I walked into your blind spot. Try to be attentive to your surroundings next time."
"Hump… You're too airy for me to detect your presence, owner!!"
She jumped on his back and her boobs made his neck bend nearly 90 degrees because of the pressure. "Ugh! My neck!"
"Huhhuuu… How is my boobi attack?"
She smirked at his face and his answer was, "It's soft, big and bouncy-_-."
"Ekkk!! Pervert!!!"
"What did I even do to you -_-. This is sexual harassment."
Back to their house.
Kairos took off his shirt and turned back to his snake appearance to rest a bit. Even though he was too strong to feel exhaustion, it was more of a habit to turn back to his old self to relax.
"Owner, you're back to your old form again. Can you pat my fur? Should I turn back to my original form?"
Kairos clicked on the television remote with the tip of his tail and said, "No, I am tired. I want to watch some dramas now. Can you make some snacks? I'm craving for something spicy today?"
"Sure, do you want to eat meat pie? I remember this from my past life which is really surprising. This was my mother's favourite dish and we used to have it Sunday."
Kairos smiled a little and said, "Then I will prepare the dinner today. I will cook my mom's special dish. I bet Stevan is going to faint after tasting it."
"He's such an a*hole."
"He sure is."
Kairos rolled his body and increased the volume to concentrate on his drama. He was smiling.
Because, even though he was dead and living far away from his home, there was a person beside him.
It was enough to make him feel like he was inside his peaceful home.
A peaceful home where he lives with the person he dears so much.
