Chapter 283: Complicated

"Go inside the car and wait for me, Pallas," Nicolai ignored the man and turned his attention to Ariana who stood behind him. 

His giant figure shadowed Ariana behind him completely, making it impossible for Noah to even get a glimpse of Ariana. 

"Get out of my way, de Luca!" Noah hissed at the man in front of him. His voice was thoroughly controlled, but Ariana felt and knew that Noah was furious.

The calmer his voice became, the more enraged he was. 

This was what she learned from that incident.

"Go Pallas," Nicolai repeated, his voice brimming with confidence as he stared at her with a grin on his face. "I will handle this." 

Ariana glanced at him before turning to look at Noah, when their gazes met ever so slightly, Ariana waited for the thumping of her heart or the light tremors that passed through her body every time Noah looked at her. 

But they didn't. It was surprising that she felt so indifferent towards him.
