 "What happened –to that little girl?" Ariana asked as she felt sorry for the little girl who was blamed for something that she didn't do. 

Emil shrugged. He said to her, "I don't know. All I know was that her parents were kicked out of the Lowell family and they were never hired by anyone in Clover City or anywhere close to it. As far as the Serpents' influence goes, if I am being honest." 

After he finished speaking he reached forward and caught hold of her hands. He said to her, "That's why I am telling you to stay away from that woman. She —there is something very different about her." 

"Back then Penelope knew that we had cottoned onto her real face which was why she started acting like a sweet little thing. Our parents still believe that there is nothing much wrong with her but I assure you if she was made to sit in front of a psychiatrist, Penelope would be locked up in the asylum for sure."
