Sui looked at the Grand Duke with a stinging eye. She deeply resented being the subject of his mockery.

Especially when it came to her friends and the ones she liked. 

"I am sorry, but only one lady has my undying affection and attention. And that lady is waiting for me to come back to her. So, as much as I like my life in the Azure Empire, I will find a way to return to the Grand Empire."

Sui assured the Grand Duke, finally letting him know her true intentions.

Her words left the Grand Duke speechless for a full minute as he tried to digest what he just heard.

But before he could coherently reply to Sui, the party's host decided to walk up and greet them.

"Sui, you managed to make it to this party. I was almost afraid that you would be stopped, maybe even detained before you were allowed to come here."
