Chapter 43: So that's why you wanted to work

Mason finally realised that this girl he was running after was a really stubborn hardtack. He didn't know till now that she was always affected by the little things he said and did. He finally understood and was going to set things straight. He ran after her and blocked her path.

"What's this all about?" She asked, feeling fed up.

"Tessy!" He reached out to hold her hands. "I didn't know that I'd end up making you mad. I'm deeply sorry." He apologised and this shocked Tessy. How was he apologising?

"You might be over the top sometimes and do unreasonable things but you don't have to force yourself to apologise." She said,

"I'm not forcing myself, Tessy. I'm serious." He insisted and Tessy felt warm inside. She could feel that he was honest.

'What is this warm feeling inside? Why do his words affect me so much?' she thought and didn't know when tears started rolling down her cheeks.
