Chapter 168: **Chapter 167: The Movie Premiere**

**[Wednesday, Billboard Magazine Interview! Vanity Fair Exclusive Interview!]**

Swipe! A colorful pen made a bright red X across the schedule.

Link smiled lightly. The joy of a busy schedule was something only someone like him could truly understand. He adjusted his tie in front of the mirror, put on his sunglasses, and left the apartment.

At noon, a silver-gray Porsche limousine was parked in front of the Yorkville apartment.

As soon as Link appeared, the driver, Bob, got out to open the car door. After Link got in, Bob drove toward the Metropolis Theater.

"Boss, Eminem called earlier. He wants to discuss the new song with you. When are you available?"

Assistant Anna asked.

Link rubbed his forehead. He had an awards ceremony tomorrow, a company party the day after, and no time the following day.

"Ask Eminem if he's free over the weekend."

"Got it!"

Half an hour later, the car arrived at the Metropolis Theater, where the premiere of *Chasing the Blue Sea 2* was taking place.

The film was produced by Columbia Pictures with a budget of less than 12 million dollars and was originally a low-profile production.

However, with Link's album becoming a huge hit and his popularity soaring, the film's promoters decided to highlight Link as one of the leads, given his rising fame.

In the March trailer, Link's screen time was equal to that of the male lead, and he was promoted from the third male role to one of the main stars.

The movie posters showed him and the male lead shirtless, flanking the female lead in a love triangle.

Due to his involvement, the media and fans gave significant attention to the film, eager to see how his first movie would turn out.

As the car reached the theater, thousands of fans and media gathered outside the red carpet area, snapping photos and interviewing invited celebrities attending the premiere.

Including Paul Walker and Jessica Alba from the first *Chasing the Blue Sea*, and other celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Ashton Kutcher.

They were there more as a favor from the distributors rather than for the film itself.

Link stepped out of the car, and soon Paul Walker arrived in a sports car, dressed in a gray suit and looking quite handsome.

"Hey, Link, didn't bring a girlfriend?" Paul greeted.

"I didn't invite her. She's very busy with work."

"I meant other girlfriends. Are they all busy too?"

Paul Walker teased with a wink.

"Cut it out. I'm not as flirtatious as you."

Link patted him on the shoulder and pushed him toward the red carpet.

Both men, one in a blue suit and the other in gray, one with black hair and the other with blonde, were tall and handsome.

The crowd erupted in cheers as they saw the two, shouting their names.

Photographers snapped away, capturing the two handsome men walking the red carpet side by side.

"Mr. Link Becker, may we have an interview?"

Several reporters called out.

Link nodded and walked to the edge of the red carpet to take questions.

"Mr. Becker, *Chasing the Blue Sea 2* is your first film. How did it feel during filming? Did you face any challenges?" asked a reporter from *Variety* magazine.

"Yes, before filming this movie, I was a complete novice actor without any acting training. There were indeed many challenges at the beginning. However, Director Stephen Herk was very capable and taught me a lot on set. We managed to get through those difficulties together."

Link spoke confidently to the camera.

"Mr. Becker, did you join *Chasing the Blue Sea 2* out of interest, or are you considering becoming a professional actor?"

A reporter from the *New York Daily News* inquired.

"I love movies and enjoy acting. If there's a good script, I'd consider taking on more roles," Link responded.

"Mr. Becker, we hear you've enrolled at New York University. With your busy schedule in boxing, music, and film, how do you manage work and study time? Are you worried about failing?"

A reporter from *USA Today* asked.

Link chuckled, "Yes, I do have some concerns. I've heard that failing a class means retaking exams and it affects graduation. I don't want to be the laughingstock, so I make sure to attend as many classes as possible when I have time."

"Mr. Becker, how's the recording of your second album going? When will it be released?"

A reporter from the *Baltimore Sun* asked.

"It's currently being recorded. The specific release date will depend on the company's schedule," Link answered.

After answering a few more questions, Link waved goodbye to the reporters and fans and entered the theater with Paul Walker.

*Chasing the Blue Sea 2* had a similar plot to the first film, featuring a diving couple hired by a wealthy client to search for treasure lost at sea by Columbus.

During their quest, they uncover their employer's secret, discovering that the true objective is two nuclear warheads.

To save the world and capture the mastermind, the protagonists use their wits and work with the police, eventually catching the villain and finding Columbus's treasure, becoming wealthy and living happily ever after.

In the film, Link played the role of the wealthy client's assistant, who hires the couple to search for the treasure but secretly seeks the nuclear warheads.

In the original script, his character was a confidant who betrayed the lead character and was captured by the police, but in the movie, his role was changed to an ally who helps the protagonists confront the villain.

Link watched the film and had to admire the editor's skill. Despite the disjointed scenes, they were seamlessly connected to create a coherent and engaging story.

"What do you think, Link?"

Director Stephen Herk turned to him and asked.

"It looks pretty good."

Link hadn't seen the original version but had expected it to be a mediocre film. However, the actual plot was more exciting than he had imagined, with many highlights. The female actors were stunning, and Link and the other male actors were also handsome.

There were sports cars, yachts, fights, and explosions, making it more entertaining than typical low-budget commercial films.

His original role as a villain had been extended by over ten minutes in the final cut, and he had no major complaints.

The only dissatisfaction was with the pay. When he signed on, he was the Golden Gloves Champion, and his fee was only 100,000 dollars, including promotional expenses, totaling 500,000 dollars—less than a small ad endorsement.

"Link, you're well-suited for action roles. And most of the action stars in Hollywood are getting older, with the new generation not yet fully developed. If you want to succeed in film, consider focusing on action roles," Director Herk advised.

Link nodded. Becoming an action star was indeed a viable direction, but he knew that over the next decade, Marvel movies would dominate Hollywood. To be among the top action stars, he'd need to play a superhero.

"Link, I can't watch anymore."

Paul Walker said, holding his forehead with a pained expression.

"Are you feeling unwell?" Link asked, puzzled.

Paul Walker pointed to the big screen, "Just wait. Soon, you'll be showing off your muscles and physique. If I were a woman, I might appreciate it, but I'm a man. Do you think I'd enjoy watching this kind of movie?"

"In the first film, you had as many shirtless scenes as I did. Oh, I get it now. You're jealous of my better physique."

"Bullshit, jealous of you? Fine, maybe your muscles are better, but my acting skills are definitely superior. You'll see reviews criticizing your acting and calling you a pretty face," Paul Walker teased.

Link smiled lightly, not bothered by potential criticism of his acting.

Let them see how poor his acting is now. When *The Fighter* is released, they'll see how much he's improved and realize how hard he's worked.

Performing a bit poorly in *Chasing the Blue Sea 2* might actually be a good thing.
