Halden leaned forward in his seat so that his elbows rested on his knees. "I don't think so. I mean, there's no Exploring Your Subconscious: 101 hand-book, but everyone else who has ever jumped has always ended up either at the campsite or somewhere around it—that's how we chose the location for the camp—but either way, we're always close by. That's why we had a hard time finding you—we had almost everyone out looking all over the island trying to find where you ended up."

Hailey's mind recalled the people she had seen in the clearing, there were at least half a dozen of them not including Halden, Jakob, Eleena, and Alec. If Halden said that almost everyone was out looking for her, that meant there were more people than those ten people she had met. How many people were on that island?—she wondered.
