Chapter 106: Aiden Jenkins. Finding the Truth

When the committee meeting comes to an end, everyone around the table stands and slowly exits our small makeshift committee room. What used to be a storage room full of cleaning supplies, old furniture, and cardboard boxes filled with Christmas decorations has been transformed into a clean and tidy room with only a cluster of tables making up a long one and a dozen swivel chairs, all different colours but nonetheless still usable, that is now being pushed under the tables by the leaving patrons. 

I stare down at my notes, jumbled writing and mismatched words filling up a whole page in my notebook. When I look back up, only a few people remain in the room. Ash has long disappeared out the door. The moment the moderator called an end to the meeting, he dashed out without so much as a glance back. Only Hunter, Trevor—a middle-aged man who has been assigned to be in charge of all things technology in the whole building, and Jessica stay behind.
