Chapter 41: 41. Dark Obsession

The next morning, Ellie woke up still naked.

She looked around and didn't find any signs of Cassius in her room.

When Ellie realized where she had slept, she was surprised because this room was Cassius' room.

"Where did he sleep last night?"

She wanted to meet Cassius and explain yesterday's issues, but her pride prevented her from doing so.

"I'm not wrong. I don't owe him any explanations. Considering our relationship is just as a partner, not a loving husband and wife," Ellie mumbled sadly, "besides, he doesn't trust me..."

She quickly moved to her room, but as she opened the dressing room door, the bedroom door opened, and Cassius walked in.

Their eyes met in the air, and for a moment, they forgot all the problems between them, just gazing at each other.

Ellie was the first to avert her gaze.

She turned the doorknob to leave Cassius, but he stepped forward quickly and grabbed her shoulder.
