Isabella raised an eyebrow, observing him. She wanted to pry into his expression but decided to drop it and ask Adela later.
“Why are you here? Is there any news?” Her expression was with worry.
She almost got up from the bed. Maria kept a grip on her. “Your Majesty, be careful; you are still weak from the medicines.”
“Your Majesty, there has been no development from the inside. I was dispatched here for your protection.” Tristan quickly kneeled on the ground.
“There have been no new ones from the main place except for the details from Your Majesty.”
“If there is no news, there might be no bad news either, Your Majesty.” Maria coaxed the Empress.
Isabella also nodded at her words. She wanted to stay strong, but the people filling the room scared hered.
Isabella sighed as Maria passed a glass of water to her. “Your Highness should rest.”
Isabella smiled at her. “I can only rest after all this is over.”
