Chapter 13: The Golden Dragon

"No please spare me it was not me I beg you please let me go" I beg the boy in front of me as he was ready to kill me "No please" he lunches his skill without listening to my plea.
"NOOOOOOO... gasp…huff..huff…" I jolted awake while breathing heavily, a few minutes later after calming myself down, I looked around to see what looked to be a hospital room, while I was lost in thinking how I had come the door to this room opened and a 6'9 tall man with black hair and eyes and face similar to me come inside.
"So, you woke up," he said while moving near the bed and sitting on the chair. "Quite the show you made in the entrance exam what do you want to say about yourself." He questions me in a monotone voice.
"I am sorry Father; it was all my fault I should have made better use of this opportunity" I speak while my head is down due to the fear this body feels toward this man.
"Hm... you should have, but you lost this opportunity because of a girl and that old hag grandson," he said, and suddenly, a huge amount of pressure descended on my shoulder.
"gasp… gasp… "I started to gasp for air as he continued "Do you even know how much resources I have to waste just to get that old contract and activate it, you just had two things to do stay alive and show off your ability full power at the end to generate in Serlynthia tiniest bit of interest in you and that contract power should have taken care off everything." He spoke well increasing the pressure on my body.
"What done is done now that you have been selected in the academy, now that Aldric boy got the first place I am pretty sure his father will use his every connection to make his son that girl disciple. So, use him as you are doing till now to get close to her." He ordered while starting to move toward the door.
Suddenly he looked back "And do you really think that I can not do anything if you are inside the academy, so you better not try to pull that stunt again" he spoke and stepped outside the room closing the door.
"This bastard who did he think he was, I mean yes he is 4th strongest human in the world and can probably kill me with a snap of his finger but it was still irritating was not I supposed to get some overpowered items like that pen from that famous novel or something like that," I complain to myself as heard a voice in my head.
"Boy you did get something while your soul gets here why are you complaining right now" the voice said.
"That was just a soul essence lord Fafnir and it did not even make me strong what the point of that" I spoke to Fafnir who is my contractor and he was also the one who brought my soul into this world.
"'Just a soul essence' boy do you even know what are you talking about that not just any soul essence it's my soul essence do you even know how my of your kind will kill to get it," Fafnir said with a growl
"But what the even point of it as you know I got beaten pretty badly."
"If I was able to pear into that world which you humans called a virtual world you would have easily been able to win" A Virtual world that was created by the human gods was not able to interfere with what inside was going on as VR is just a form of data. But when I heard the words that if he was able to interfere, I could have easily won I couldn't believe it.
While I know that sometimes gods can interfere with fights between their contractors they can only save their lives and nothing else, so when he says that I could have beaten that monster easily I could not help but ask.
"How can I have won against you even if you have interfered."
"Boy you have my soul essence and with that connection, I could have easily unlocked the dragon power inside of it to raise your power for some time." He answered.
"Then why didn't you unlock it at the start" I spoke with a hint of irritation, if he had unlocked it when I came into this world, I should have easily managed to beat everyone in the exam and would have gotten first place or even top 10 and the academy have even protected me from my father which I was planning to do if not for that girl and that bastard.
While I was thinking to myself Fafnir replied "If I had unlocked it at the start your body would not even have survived for a few seconds before exploding as your soul and body did not merge completely, it is still in the process of merging so you could not unlock it fully yet."
"So how much time till it merges completely and is there anything I can do to increase the process" I asked him, if it takes more than 1 month then I have to think about something as the first attack of Abyss Walker will happen and for me it will be pretty hard to survive as I will be in Ethan party.
In the novel Dylan survives because he had joined the Abyss Walker before he entered the academy I have to think about something, hm.. should I take that cheat item before he can take it, that only option I will go there as soon as I get leave from the academy.
"It will take one month to completely merge, there is a way to increase the process but are you willing to do it," Fafnir spoke while I was busy thinking about how to survive the first mini-arc.
"What is the tell me if it is not something which harms me, I am willing to do it" I immediately replied to him, I know that even if this was the mini-arc how difficult it was for me to survive it.
"You have to mate with more than four powerful girls and if you can mate with that Serlynthia girl then it will be even better it will boost you even more."
I was surprised after hearing his words I thought it would be something like 'you have to fight more than 50 monsters' or something like that but this was unexpected I guess this was really the world which is like a mixture of fantasy and cultivation.
"If that is all I have to do then I will do it, as for Serlynthia she was going to be my wife in the future what will change if I do with her now or after marriage."
As I spoke this word the system appeared in front of me.

"No this cannot be happening Fafnir didn't you say I am the only one who has these powers then how can he also have it" Dylan shouted at Fafnir while kneeling on the ground as his hand looked like that of a drake and his body have grown black scale and as he looks fearfully in front of him.
A boy whose full body was covered in gold and silver color Dragon scale and two wings popped out on his back and a majestic horn could be seen on his head. While he was standing holding a student by the neck.
"No these cannot happen No these cannot happen how is he even alive No these cannot happen No these cannot happen, how is he even alive nononononon," Fafnir shouted in Dylan's mind but before he could ask what was going on that boy spoke.
"Hey you gold lizard can you f**king shut up didn't you see I am busy here, Therion take care of them" that spoke to someone most likely his contacted god.
But is not his god nam- "No don't kill that gold lizard just erase their memories related to me" he spoke again and hearing what he said Fafnir again entered panic mode "Boy You have to run now he had sen-" and before he could say anything else I lose my Consciousness.

When Dylan loses Consciousness again focuses on the student he is holding by the neck and as he is to launch the final attack a figure suddenly appears behind him.
"Samuel stop don't kill her she can still be of use to us" Serlynthia who just appeared requested the boy who was Samuel.
"Oh look who is here, hi Serena did you miss me," Samuel said ripping the student's head from her body killing.
Serlynthia stood there in Shock as he called her by that name and she remembered the name of the boy who was killed by her "Alex is that you"
