Chapter 44: She’s A Keeper

Safira clenched her jaw.

"Don't believe everything you hear, Seth," she reminded him before leaving. She wasn't about to waste time arguing with him to defend herself.

Seth went on his way shortly after, making his way to Damien's office. When he got there, Damien waved him in.

"Alpha, there's something I would like to discuss with you," Seth said as he stood before him.

Damien leaned back in his chair. He had been waiting for this moment to speak to Seth one on one. Each time he had met Safira recently, she had been trying to convince him to patch things up with Seth.

"I humbly request for you to reinstate my position as Beta," Seth explained as he lowered his head.

Damien was surprised. He had his arms folded on his chest as he looked at his best friend. They had always been close friends and shared similar personalities and interests. Damien knew without a doubt that Seth would do anything for him.

"I thought you never liked being a Beta," Damien asked wearily.
