Chapter 25: Always Remember

"I heard the Alpha is only with her for the sake of his wolf."

"I guess I get that. I bet she used black magic to trick the Alpha into bedding her…"

Safira saw red. Anger overwhelmed her school of thought. She picked up her hidden dagger and launched it straight at the wolf who said those horrible things. It narrowly missed him by the width of a strand of hair. The dagger was wedged into a bench behind the male wolves.

In an instant, all the laughing and chatter stopped. It grew so quiet, you could even hear the sound of your own breathing. Diana was surprised by Safira's actions. Safira was a little stunned by her own actions too.

She had never allowed her emotions to overwhelm her like this. She usually had a good grip on them, keeping them well hidden beneath the surface to avoid any potential confrontations.

Her heart was pounding in her chest. She was running on adrenaline.
