Chapter 1: AGOT Bronze Chapter 1

Runestone, the seat of power of the ancient House Royce, the ancient Bronze Kings of The Mountain, and The Vale, my family.

My name is Aelmarus Royce, I was born on the 28th day of the 3rd moon in the year 263 AC. Funny enough, it seems I was born in the same year as Eddard Stark and Robert Baratheon. My father is Yohn Royce, Lord of Runestone, and my mother, her name is Aela Royce Velaryon.

In the books, Yohn Royce's wife was never mentioned so this is likely to be some type of alternate universe I've been reincarnated into meaning I'll need to be careful when it comes to using my knowledge.

But yes, that's right, I was reincarnated into A Game of Thrones, I'm not sure whether I'm in the show or the book but at least I was born in a time without dragons. Even though eventually Dragons will return with Daenerys Targaryen. I have some time I can work with before that happens.

Back on Earth, my name was Alexander Reid, though most people called me Dr. Reid. I specialized in sustainable energy solutions and urban development, focusing on how to create efficient, self-sustaining communities. I was passionate about applying modern technology to improve the quality of life and foster community resilience. My work led me to win several prestigious awards, and I was respected for my ability to think outside the box and challenge conventional wisdom.

In my free time, my favorite thing was to read fantasy novels, and obviously, my favorite to read is A Song of Ice and Fire. I'm happy I was reincarnated into House Royce, it's probably my favorite house with House Velayron Though I wouldn't have picked this universe as my first to be reincarnated into, at least I have some knowledge about what events are going to happen throughout the world so better than nothing.

Lucky for me, I was born in The Vale, unlucky for me, I was born in the era in which the Vale is actually going to go to war against the Iron Throne in The War of The Usurper. I'll have to make plans to ensure I survive while ensuring my House doesn't suffer too many losses to its power.

I have no desire for my house to end up like House Velaryon, once regarded as the richest and one of the most powerhouses in Westeros yet reduced to nothing in A Dance of Dragons. All their power is lost to the point that they aren't even mentioned in Modern-day Game of Thrones. I'll see if I can help them out a bit, after all, that's my mother's house and they are awesome, at least they were.

I was born as Yohn's eldest son, but sadly for me, I wasn't born of a legal union. Unexpected, as the Yohn in the books would've never had a bastard as it would've brought shame and dishonor to his family name.

I'll have to make plans since I'm not in line to inherit Yohn's lands unless Robert legitimizes me which I could probably get him to do as long as I can interact with him while he's still young.

Regardless, I'll make plans based on my current standing as a bastard, if I am legitimized then that is a plus but if not it's not a big loss. I'm just a little sad because I would've loved to lead House Royce back to its glory days.

Anyway, no more review, time to focus on the present, I'm currently 4 years old, or in Westeros terms, I've completed my 4th name day. I decided to show off some form of intellect alongside some greater physical development. I spoke my first word at 6 months old once I was able to decipher the word for Father in the common tongue and took my first steps at 9 months.

By the time I was a year old, I was speaking full sentences and walking perfectly on my own with a little bit of a stumble when I try to run. I spent a greater part of my time exploring Runestone and I can confidently say Runestone sits upon a little over 5 acres of land.

The keep, courtyard, garden, dungeon, barracks, stables, towers, walls, and ramparts are all located within the 5 acres. I also got to see the Bronze Gate which the books never explicitly described but the gates are gigantic, made out of pure bronze with intricate symbols embedded into the gate that when the gate is closed. It forms the House Sigil of my family.

Epic, is an understatement, the castle is much bigger than I imagined it to be but far from the biggest I've seen in my life. The Malbark Castle was constructed on 21 acres while also being an incredibly defensible house because of its strategic location. Though I do believe Harrenhal would be bigger than Malbark, I don't know whether or not it's as good as Malbark. I'll find out once I visit the castle myself if I get the chance.

I'll see if I can improve Runestone to reach that type of strength, but that's only if it ends up in my hands. If it doesn't then I won't bother, Yohn is already grooming me to be an advisor to Andar.

Well, that's 'if' Andar is born because maybe he won't be because I wasn't supposed to be here yet reality shows that I am in fact here.

After I showed Yohn my ability to speak, Maester Malbark (Funny coincidence right) had begun teaching me. At first, it was just speech, as I needed to get a more proper understanding of the common tongue before he could begin actually teaching me.

Once I was able to speak full coherent sentences, Maester Malbark taught me how to read and write while also subtly influencing me by using books that spoke about The Seven. If I were a regular child, I definitely would be a firm believer in The Seven by now, but unfortunately for Maester Malbark. I am not a child, well not completely anyway. I am technically 54 including the time I've spent in this body.

Once I was able to fully read and write, I was passed to Yohn who taught me how to govern, politics, strategy, and edict. He even taught me a little bit of swordsmanship, though all I used was a small wooden sword which was pretty heavy for a child of only 4 even though I pushed my body as much as I could without harming it.

I'm confident Yohn wanted to teach me more along with spearmen-ship, but I showed myself struggling a lot more because I didn't want to risk maiming my body when I was even 5 years old yet.

Luckily, he didn't force me to train anymore and instead just doubled down on other things an advisor would need to properly help their lord.

That's all my life was until the day of my 8th birthday.
