Chapter 195: Ch.29

Shaking my head, I found myself in the body of one seriously confused kid. I didn't understand why I was being called Michael until I realized I wasn't in an anime world anymore. Feeling sort of relieved, I decided to live a normal life this time through and just see what happens as I go along. I liked my new appearance enough not to even bother changing it as I looked like a young Luke Evans from Dracula Untold.

I was called a prodigy from then on as I excelled at everything I put my mind to until my parents were killed in a car accident. Their last wish was for me to become a doctor so I went to medical school and at the age of twenty three I completed my residency. Two years later things turned to shit and I realized what world I was in when some guys tried to kidnap me at a train station and a certain blue eyed black haired vampire exchanged bullets with them.

I worked on saving a poor woman's life that got caught in the cross fire while they had it out. It was all over by the time the police and ambulances showed up so it was fine by me when I gave my report on what happened and went home.

The next thing I know, I'm being accosted in my apartment by the blue eyed vampire while she demanded to know why the Lycans were after me. That stopped when the roof of my apartment started to be destroyed. She released me and I ran to the elevator and quickly hit the first floor button.

I shrugged off my jacket and got ready. When the human form Lycan, Lucian, but me, I made sure it was on my forearm instead of my neck. I groaned at the pain and soon enough he was dragged off by the blue eyed female vampire. I got up and slid my jacket on as she grabbed me and we headed to her car.

She yelled for me to get in and I didn't hesitate cause fuck staying here. There was a loud thump as something hit the roof before a blade came through missing us both. It pulled out once and came through again missing us once more.

On the third try it hit her in the shoulder before she hit the brakes, forcing the person off the roof and the blade out of her shoulder. She backed up before hitting the gas and running over the man in front of us that had stabbed her.

A few moments later we were speeding down the road when I told her. "You're injured and loosing a lot of blood, pull over and I'll help you!"

She didn't listen so I got closer and told her loudly. "Pull over before you crash!"

She shoved a gun in my face and I backed off. A few seconds later she passed out and I grabbed the wheel, turning it before we could run heard first into the river. Instead the care went sideways and rolled into the river while my head smacked against the glass.

Groggy, I unbuckled us both and used her gun to shoot out her window before swimming us both to the surface. Still panting and with a splitting headache, I laid her down by the pier and ripped up my favorite shirt before using it to stem the bleeding and keep her from bleeding out.

She groaned and I told her. "You need a blood transfusion stat and definitely stitches if not a full head scan while your at it crazy woman."

She didn't reply as she passed out. I dripped some blood from my head wound into her lips and that was a major mistake because she jolted awake or else reacted on instinct and bit the artery in my throat. I groaned and passed out while she fed.

I woke up a bit later while in some house with her leaning over me. She looked at me concerned and asked. "Are you ok?"

I groaned. "Peachy, except for the concussion and the lightheaded ness. I probably need a blood transfusion and a rabies shot from the deranged woman that bit me."

I grabbed my neck and groaned in pain again. "What's with the acid trip of memories and foggy dreams?"

She snorted. "You're in transition. The memories are my own and the blood will have to be taken orally from now on because you're becoming a vampire."

I sat up and a blood woman came in. She called me a pet and I snorted. "Takes one to know one lady."

I shrugged off my coat and they saw the second bite mark. The blond asked. "Why did you bite him twice?"

I snorted. "She didn't. The deranged man she shot did it in the elevator. He had this weird necklace on as well. I thing it was a Celtic gold pendant with a green pearl in the center."

The blond didn't comment while the black haired blue eyed vampire did. "You should be dead. No one's survived the bite of both species!"

I snorted. "And those species would be? Let me guess, Lycan and from the looks of you, goth fairy?"

She snorted and the blond laughed for a moment before Selene said matter of factly. "Vampires and Lycans. We've been at war for centuries now."

I got up. "That's nice and all but I have a life to get back to so if you'll excuse me-"

They both stopped me and Selene said. "The Lycans are still after you and I can only guess as to why now."

I shrugged. "Then if they find me I can just call the police thanks now goodbye and you're welcome."

She looked confused by my words but I still left and headed out, ignoring the vampire coven lounging around. Selene tried to stop me at the gate but I refused telling her I'd be fine and that she can find me by simply calling next time.

I grabbed a taxi to the nearest hotel and got a ground floor room. I slept through a few hours of memory induced acid trips before drawing all that I saw out and grabbing a taxi back to the mansion.

At the gate I pressed the button and demanded to speak to Selene. She came out in a car and told me to get in. I did so and she drove us away while I told her. "I drew all that I could understand in this journal. I figured you could use it to identify and catch the asshole that bit me."

I showed her the notepad and she took me to some safe house before looking it over. I spent the next two days with her there while she looked it over before handing me a gun saying. "Tonight's the full moon and the peak of your transition. If you turn into a werewolf, do yourself a favor and use it. If you become a vampire at least we'll have something to go on. If you become something else entirely, you might be on your own."

I nodded. "Fair enough. Does the drawings help? I've been getting more but it's mostly farm life and running around with little girls except one night that ended in their death and a lot of fighting and shooting from then on."

She sighed. "Those are my memories. From what I understand of it, the blood and virus of the two species brings a sort of memory inheritance that's not all that clear unless an elder does it."

I nodded. "I'm sorry for your loss then."

She shrugged it off. "It was centuries ago."

I shook my head. "It doesn't make it any easier I'm sure. I lost my own parents to a car accident seven years ago and it hasn't lessened the pain either. It's not true that time heals all wounds. It just dulls the ache and distracts you."

She gave me a sad smile and nodded in understanding while chaining one of my wrists up. I didn't mind even if it itched a bit. She checked the perimeter before leaving me some food and blood out if I turned into a vampire and said she'd be back later tonight to check on me.

I nodded and laid back on the former torture chair and went to sleep. I woke up ravenously hungry and devoured the burgers before my skin started to itch badly. She came in and looked me over before asking. "Do you feel any differently?"

I grunted. "My skin itches and I'm starving. My throat itches and-"

I coughed and threw up the burgers and food she's left me. She smiled as I finished and handed me a glass of water I used to rinse out my mouth. "This is a good sign. Your body is rejecting the food because it needs blood instead."

I grimaced and grabbed the blood pouch. As soon as I bit into it, my teeth elongated and I groaned as I drained it in moments while growling. "More!"

She bought out several blood packs and some Lycans came into the perimeter. I was busy drinking all I could when she came back. "We have to go now. Lycans are here."

I growled and downed the last blood pack before she broke the window. "Jump, I'll be down right after you!"

I didn't hesitate and jumped out. Big mistake that was. She didn't come out but a cop car with two Lycans did show up. They dosed me with a sedative as the full moon hit me. I groaned and my body started it's slow shift.

My skin went from itching to burning in seconds as I clawed at it before an oily black tone came out and I roared in pain as my bones broke and realigned. The Lycans cursed and yelled that I wasn't going to make it. The second one just turned up the stereo.

Seconds became minutes and ten of those saw me fully shifting into my new hybrid form. My skin was an onyx black with an oily sheen to it while my claws were almost as long as my fingers and as sharp as my swords were. My teeth had all elongated to points as I looked in the single rear view mirror I could see. Yep, definitely Michael's original look.

My eyes were all black like a demo's from the supernatural tv series. Before I could complete the transition fully they pulled over and shot me up while I struggled once more. I passed out and woke up strapped to a metal slab and groggy as fuck.

Lucian was there and he looked me over while I asked. "Why? Why am I tied up?"

He sighed. "Because I cant yet tell whose side you're on in this war."

I grunted. "I want no part of your war."

He asked. "My war?"

Shaking his head he sighed. "This is Victor's war."

He drew some of my blood and I gasped. "There's a quicker way. Use a direct blood transfusion to get enough."

He raised an eyebrow and I talked him through it. When we were both hooked up, I groaned. "I'm going to need blood after this."

He grunted and soon enough his subordinate came in and told him we had visitors. He unhooked himself and I told him. "At least unhook me as well before you leave me here to bleed out!"

He yanked the tube out and left to meet up with whomever was coming. I healed up easily enough but I was weak and needed blood now. Gun fire started to ring out but it hardly mattered as I was strapped to the slab and weakened by drugs and lack of blood. When Selene came in, I warned her about a Lycan coming and she killed it before freeing me.

She told me. "You have to leave. Victor will kill you for being what you are."

I grunted. "They'll kill you too for helping me."

She sighed. "I know."

I kissed her for thanks and felt a jolt go up my spine. She was definitely mine or soon would be. I released her and she led me out while shooting Lycans along the way. I sighed. "I need blood."

We nearly walked into a hallway full of Lycans and vampires fighting and when a Lycan dropped down beside us, I grabbed it by the throat and arm, bringing it to it's knees and sinking my teeth into it's throat, draining it dry in a single moment. I released the now dead beast and led the way to a hatch that I opened up.

Kraven was on the other side. He raised his pistol and put three rounds into my chest. Liquid silver nitrate gushed from my wounds and I fell over. Selene and Kraven had their talk about Victor killing her parents and family before he offered to take her away. When she didn't budge, he cocked his gun and a crawling Lucian grabbed his ankle.

He looked at him and sneered before raising his gun at me. Lucian shoves his wrist blade through Kraven's leg, forcing him to his knees. I sat up and growled, sinking my teeth into Kraven's throat and draining him. The liquid silver forced it's way out and the pain left as I ripped out Kraven's throat.

I stood up and grabbed Selene's hand before glancing at Lucian. "Blood can heal you right up now that my blood courses through your veins. No matter your condition, so long as you're not headless or burned to ash, blood will bring you back to full strength. Consider me not killing you for doing this to me as thanks."

I turned and Victor was there, he grabbed me by the throat and I grabbed his wrist, bending it off of me. I ripped off his arm and grabbed his throat, bending him down to Lucian's level. "Enjoy your meal and your revenge, cousin."

Lucian smiles and bit into Victor's throat while I broke his other arm. I turned and three death dealers were there, pointing their weapons at me. I growled. "Leave here and find someone else to piss off or I'll eat you. Your bullets will only tickle me now."

They fired and riddled me with liquid silver. I smiled and brushed it off as I shifted fully in moments into my onyx black form. I blurred and ripped them apart, draining them dry. When I finished, I roared, shaking the building. Lycans all over came running before seeing me and backing away.

Lucian stood up and looked to Selene but I shook my head growling. He got the picture and backed off while leaving with the werewolves. I took his necklace just as he was about to leave and he didn't stop me, only frowning.

Selene and I left the building and got to the manor just in time to see it burn down as Marcus, the final coven leader after Lucian killed Victor and Amelia, killed Lucian and slaughtered the werewolves there. He also slaughtered the vampires so Selene didn't make our presence known.

Instead we left quickly and quietly before heading to Hungary from Budapest. We laid low while Selene tried to think of a plan. That led to us being chased through the woods by cops and them being slaughtered by Marcus who chased us as well.

We stole a truck and drove away until Marcus caught up and I sent his winged ass flying into a cliff until the sun started to rise. I hopped back into the front of the truck cab and covered Selene with my jacket and a blanket.

We made it to a warehouse where I covered the windows in paint and tar before letting her out into a shipping container. Seeing as we were free for a moment, I checked her over before bitting my wrist and holding it up for her.

She accepted and drank from me before kissing me. I returned said kiss while unzipping her black leather suit. Once free of it, she slid my own jacket off and stripped me before I took her repeatedly and with great enthusiasm. Filling her over and over again slowly, fast, against the walls and on the floor.

I was hungry for her and she for me until we lay there spooning for a while afterwards. When she fell asleep, I got up and began working on our ride. The truck we came in with was useless and too noticeable but after changing the spark plugs and siphoning some gas, I managed to get another truck, a four door sedan to work.

When I finished, I laid back down with her after washing up and she woke up a few hours later just before sunset. She wrapped the blanket around her and fiddled with the necklace key. When it clicked open, I sat up. "What is it?"

She shook her head. "I've no idea, but I know someone who might have some answers."

I nodded. "Alright. The suns setting. Wash up in the bathroom and we'll head out. I fixed a vehicle we can use earlier so we'll be ready once you're dressed."

I rubbed her back and she turned to me before I kissed her and sighed as I pulled away. "I wish we could spend our time like this but we need to go if we're going to stay ahead of Marcus and whatever he's become."

She nodded and got up, letting the blanket slip and fall to the floor. I growled and she smiled before walking out to wash up while swaying her hips. I saw it then, Robin and Shyarly entered her then as shades.

Standing up, I walked to the truck while setting her stuff on the hood and relaxing. She came out washed as best any normal person could in a bathroom sink and got dressed under my gaze. She smiled the entire time, knowing what she was doing to me.

She drove us to a fenced in gated place while telling me about some vampire named Tanis. She mentioned the gate being new and tried to hand me a gun. I shook my head and extended my claws. "Keep it, I have my weapons right here."

She nodded and put it away while having me follow her in with the sedan. When she yelled that it was a trap and fell through a trap door, I got out and caught the werewolf about to attack me. I spun it around and sank my teeth in it's throat, draining it.

I fed so fiercely I tore it's head off before shifting fully and following the chain down to it's hole. I hopped down and another came running. My meal just keeps coming. I fed on it as well, killing it in the process and running on all fours to their nest.

I followed the passage up into the manor and heard Tanis tell Selene she doesn't scare him. I broke through a window and grabbed him by the throat, slamming him against the wall. She smiled. "We'll just have to work on that then."

I growled in his face while my razor sharp teeth were inches from his face. He begged. "Alright, alright, I'll talk, so let's be civil!"

Selene nodded and I released the idiot and shifted back. He led us into his main room passed the dead naked female vampires. I went to his closet and grabbed a shirt while he and Selene talked. I asked. "Why would a vampire have Lycan bodyguards?"

Selene found his stash and spoke up. "Because he was trading with them."

I walked over after sliding on a black leather duster and looked over the weapons. Smiling, I loaded up on guns, ammo and explosives. The UV rounds and silver nitrate rounds would work to some degree I'm sure.

Selene raised an eyebrow and I shrugged. "I wasn't about to take your weapons and leave you defenseless but I'd happily empty his stock of weapons."

She smiled and took a few clips and some explosives while grabbing a crossbow. I grabbed a titanium and silver edged sword and smiled. "I can work with this."

I tossed the necklace to Tanis. "Talk, or I eat you like I did your guard dogs. I'm so very hungry these days."

My stomach rubbles and he paled while I told him coldly. "Be sure it's the truth as well because I can hear and smell a lie."

He started with his story of how Marcus turned Victor and his army as well as showing Selene a picture of the prison Victor had commissioned for William, Marcus's twin and the first werewolf of this breed.

When he offered to put us in touch with someone who can help stop Marcus, I asked him. "Is this all that's needed to free William from his prison?"

He stilled and tried to speak a lie so I crushed his hand. "I can smell deceit on you. The truth now or I have my meal."

He quickly shook his head. "There are two keys, one is this one that Victor our around his daughter, Sonja's neck and the other he kept with him at all times, beneath the flesh."

I grimaced and turned to Selene. "Let's go. He doesn't know much more and Marcus should be here soon if he's any kind of smart."

She nodded and Tanis paled while we left in a hurry. Selene drove us to the coast to pier seventeen. We got there just after midnight and asked for Lorenz Macaro. The humans led us to a ship where we met an old man.

He studied the necklace and Selene asked. "You're familiar with this?"

He nodded and pressed the button, releasing the small blades. "Intimately."

Selene spoke up after seeing his ring. "You're Alexander Corvinas."

He stood up and came over to me. "There was a time I was known by that name. But by any name I'm still your forefather."

He handed me the necklace key and I nodded. "So it's true then?"

He nodded. "Unfortunately. I still cannot believe the last of my human descendants was dragged into this mess and for that I'm sorry boy."

I shrugged. "I'm fine with my lot in life....grandfather."

He smiled broadly and his wrinkled face made his eyes disappear somewhat. I sighed. "Marcus is searching for a way to free William. So I must apologize for what I need to do grandfather. I cannot allow them to unleash their bloodlust on this world. If I could lock them both up I would, but Marcus is now a hybrid and no prison can hold him anymore. If he frees William, it will mean the end of humanity."

He looked saddened and nodded slowly. "I do not blame you for what you must do. It is only something that I myself do not have the heart to do."

I nodded and Selene asked him. "How have you stayed hidden all these years?"

He sighed. "For centuries I've stood by and watched the havoc my sons have rot upon each other and upon humanity. Not the legacy I prayed for the moment I brought them into this world and a tiresome duty. Keeping the war contained, cleaning up the mess. Hiding my family's unfortunate history."

I asked. "Couldn't you have stopped it?"

Selene spoke up. "Yes."

Alexander asked me. "Could you kill your own son?"

I shook my head and stopped Selene. "That's not what I meant. The moment Marcus went under for his first sleep in the coven, you could've taken his body and locked him away. Hell, you should have. If Victor tried to fight, you should have ended him as well. It's a ridiculous notion to expect a tyrant like him to have actually been in charge of your sons appetites. At any rate you should've ended this war the moment the first two elders went down to sleep."

He didn't comment on that until he finally sighed. "I couldn't. Only victor knew where William was and he didn't just hold it over Marcus's head. He threatened to kill him if I made a move against him and his coven."

I sighed. "Both William and Marcus share in your eternal life. You at least would have been able to search for his prison if you'd ended Victor and taken Marcus while Amelia was elsewhere. I'm not saying it's not a risk but it wouldn't have been this mess either."

Selene told him. "You know what Marcus will do. If he finds me he finds William's prison. You need to help us stop him."

Alexander rounded on her. "You are asking me to help you kill my own son. You, a death dealer! How many innocents did you kill in the sixth century quest to avenge your family? Spare me your self righteous declarations. You are no different from Marcus and even less noble than William. At least he cannot control his savagery!"

Selene stepped forwards. "Anything that I've done can be laid at your feet! Hundreds of thousands have died because of your inability to accept that your sons are monsters! That they create monsters! You could've stopped all of this!"

He growled. "Do not come groveling to me simply because you are weaker than your adversary."

Selene replied. "You know the devastation William caused before he was captured. He cannot be set free!"

Gun shots rang out a moment later and an armed soldier fell through the skylight dead. A second later a wing pierced me and dragged me through the side window. I fell through the dock as I was flung away and landed inside the water.

Growling I began to shift before I was dragged out of the water and tossed into the side of the ship. The next blow I caught before roaring and biting his arm. His other arm grabbed me by the head and flipped me, slamming me down on a broken metal railing as it pierced my back and through my heart out the front.

I reached up to grab Marcus's hybrid neck and he slammed my hand down on another broken piece of metal railing, piercing it as well. I blacked out the moment his spoke in a hushed whisper and took the key necklace off of me. "Soon brother."

I drifted in a black abyss on the edge of life and death for the first time in a very long time. There I saw what was happening around me until I jolted awake. I was in a body bag on a helicopter. Selene was there and surprised I was alive. I groaned. "Blood..."

She fed me from her wrist and I drank a bit before stopping her and pulling away before sitting up while she healed as well. My chest closed up at a visible rate and she told me. "We're almost to William's prison island. We must stop Marcus."

I nodded and got out of the body bag before sighing. "We go together then."

She smiled and agreed. "So be it."

She directed them to the river entrance and told them it must be submerged then. The leader of the troops told the rest. "It looks like we're getting wet."

I shook my head. "No, you humans stay out of this. If you're bitten and turned by William then we'll be outnumbered. Just fly high and keep a watch. If you see them making a break for it or Marcus flying, you shoot him down. Otherwise stay out of reach and out of our way."

The leader looked at me funny. "We can handle ourselves-"

I waved him off. "I'm well aware and that's not the point. The point is if they get passed us, you're all that stands between them and the outside world. So fly as high as is safe and off to the side. Don't drop any lines or ropes or they might just pull the helicopter down into the ruins."

I grabbed Selene and she grabbed a couple guns and some explosives before strapping up. I then grabbed her and opened the side door, jumping a thousand feet into the waters below. It was like hitting cement but my body absorbed the impact readily before Selene and I swam into the river entrance below while I shifted underwater.

She led the way to the cell chambers and we found it empty until I heard a growl behind us. I turned as she grabbed the key and followed me out. When I saw William, I roared and gave chase while she dealt with Marcus with her shotgun.

William and I clashed in the main chamber and I gotta say, he out tanked me in durability and raw strength for now while I danced around him, ripping at him with my claws.

I heard shotgun blasts but I wasn't to worried so I flipped off a wall and landed on William's back, digging my claws into his spine while I sank my teeth into his throat, draining him as quickly as I could. Ahh, the raw power and delicious blood filled me as I drained him faster and faster in a blood frenzy.

He tried to buck me off but I'd sooner rip out his spine and throat before I gave up my meal and finally he went down, whimpering as I finished his blood supply off and did just that as I fed deeper and harder, ripping him apart in a blood haze.

Selene saw the last part as I stood up amongst the carnage that was once the first werewolf of this world. He was in pieces now and Selene looked slightly worried for me. I growled lightly and walked towards her side and while she flinched a bit, I brushed up against her before passing her by as I headed towards the prison cell where I could hear Marcus trying to escape.

I waited as she took up position with her guns and once her lifted the door free and up above his head, I tackled him into the chamber as it slammed shut, sealing us both inside.

Luckily Selene had the key but I wasn't too worried at the moment as I tore into Marcus. His wings sprouted and he tried to impale me with them but I broke them both before grabbing his throat and braking his neck.

I leaned down and drained him dry as well, really ending him as I ripped him apart in another blood frenzy. When I finished, I stood up and Selene raised the door. I shifted back and sighed. "It's over. They're both beyond even my healing ability now."

I he's tired to Marcus's corpse and his severed head. She nodded and led the way out. I climbed to the ceiling and punched a hole for us to go out and signaled the humans to land. When they did so, I told them. "Burn the bodies and blow the castle to kingdom come then we have work to do. It's time we hunted down all the wolves and vampires out there and ended the war once and for all."

They nodded and got to work while Selene and I rested in the helicopter. For the next two years we hunted down every vampire coven and Lycan pack across the globe until all those with the Corvinas strain were killed including the few who tried to hide behind the mortals laws and pretend to be humans.

There was no ousting us as vampires and werewolves any longer as we ended both species. Selene and I were the last and we were hybrids of a sort. We moved to the states after we finished our duties as the humans set us up with official identifications and passports as well as money and bank accounts.

Selene took what the covens had squirted away and signed over all the companies that made synthetic blood to us using Amelia's accounts so we were set for a long life but the reason we went to America was because the humans gave us intel on another breed of werewolf and vampire as well as their own information on a secret organization of humans called the Men of Letters.

They'd sealed off Europe and Great Britain with magical symbols from the magical beast persuasions but as our species was virus induced, I wasn't taking the risk so we headed to America instead. There we landed in Lost Creek Colorado.

I bought us a black '76 Shelby Mustang and we loaded it up with every weapon she or I could think of in the trunk including devil's traps and salt rounds. I even got some holy oil and water for this venture of ours and by the time we were ready, she'd made us several fake federal and police ID's with the help of our grateful human friends.

I had to practice talking in English because it had been a while but no biggie. It was her decision to go on the hunt as she really was born to be a death dealer and I didn't have the heart to take something like that away from her. I started practicing magic once more to as that had been a while as well.

I channeled nature magics from our surroundings and when we met Sam and Dean, the two 'park rangers' questioning a brother and sister about a possible hunt lead, they looked at us oddly as we weren't pretending to be anything but human.

While we were relaxed, our eyes were normal and Selene had chosen regular boots and clothes instead of her usual attire but she was still packing and they could tell that with a glance from their trained eyes and the deadly vibe we gave off.

After they finished questioning the brother and sister duo, they pulled us aside by their car and asked us. "So what are you really?"

I chuckled. "We're hunters like you both and we got wind of a hunt while we were passing through town."

Dean nodded. "What's with the carefree looks? She's packing and you clearly aren't."

I sighed. "I'm a bit different. I was born with a mutation in my DNA and my family dates back to near on a thousand years ago when a plague swept through Europe. It's a long story but it made me different and immortal. Selene here got an offshoot of the same virus and while she's human for the most part, she's immortal as well and durable. The same plague created two different species of vampires and werewolves unlike what you idiots hunt and we, Selene and I, wiped out both species recently. Suffice it to say we're not contagious and we're on your side as hunters just trying to make the world safer for humans."

Dean pulled a gun on me and asked. "If I put a bullet in you, what would happen?"

I shrugged. "I'd be very cross with you and the humans in the house might call the police but otherwise nothing. I wouldn't attack you or die if that's what you're asking."

Sam asked. "What are you then?"

I looked him over and smirked. "I'm like you in a way. I can smell the difference on you. You're not entirely human either. Don't worry, I'm not going to say anything. We're both on your side after all. The beastie we're looking for here is a Wendigo by the way."

Dean frowned and lowered his gun before putting it away and I nodded. "We'll meet you tomorrow at dawn and head up to track it down and kill it. Fire should do it so bring flare guns."

They nodded and we headed into town to a tattoo parlor. There we got inked up and I got some special tattoos. It was all enochian warding and sigils meant to hide my presence from higher beings and it worked for the most part as it could block angels and archangels but not God, Death or the Empty if they looked.

Selene got a few of the same ones but wasn't nearly as heavily warded as I was. I'd added nearly a hundred wards even stronger to protect against hexes, evil magic and even ghost possession or influence.

I was a paranoid bastard and after Selene had sorted through my memories which had taken a full year even with my help, she'd agreed to keep my secrets about what I was especially after she felt what I did for her, the bond or spark as I called it had blossomed into a full raging fire and she knew what I felt for her was absolute.

I don't know if it was my other wives influence or just her own feelings but she seemed to accept my past and even grew closer to me because of it. We'd ended a war together and put down two vicious species that seemed intent on consuming this world together and now we were hunting with the brothers I'd only heard about from a tv series.

Neither of us thought it was funny or a game and we both just wanted to help this time around. By morning we met Sam and Dean our by the trail and saw the brother and sister we'd all questioned there with a regular big game hunter as protection.

I let it be and told Sam and Dean quietly. "Leave them alone. Don't worry, it's one Wendigo and if anything happens the four of us can protect them best if we're not arguing over what they think is a fairy tale."

Sam snorted. "You want to use them as bait?"

I shook my head. "No, but nothing we say can change their minds now and since we're all going it's better we go together without arguing over what's real and what's not. If push comes to shove I'll knock them out and carry them back myself now do what you want but at least consider the consequences of your actions first."

I walked off and led the way up the trail. Selene and Sam made small talk at the back of the group while I scoured our and sniffed for signs along the way. I stopped us hours out as I told them, turning around. "The camp is just ahead but it's trashed and has signs of a bear attack."

The three that mattered understood what I meant and nodded while the brother and sister ran ahead with the random idiot hunter. I stopped the two brothers and Selene. "Look into the tree lining. We're in it's territory now. There's markings and scents everywhere. It's definitely a Wendigo and from the smell it took it's prey alive to eat later."

Sam nodded. "Sounds about right. It'll be hold up in some place dark and quiet."

I sighed. "There's an abandoned coal mine shaft two miles that way from what the map indicates but we have another issue."

Dean asked. "What's that?"

Selene spoke up. "It's here and has been following us."

I nodded grimly. "She's right. It's been sticking down wind but the smell is too fresh to have been made days ago. It's here and watching us."

Sam and Dean pulled their flare guns and I shook my head. "Why don't you and your brother use tribal markings to protect the camp site and Selene and I flush it out. If this works we can go retrieve it's food after we kill it."

They nodded and Selene looked towards the three innocents before nodding to me. I took off my jacket and shirt telling the brothers. "Ok, don't freak out and remember, I'm harmless to you both. This is just a virus mutation and I'm not a supernatural creature."

They nodded and I shifted as my body crackled and rearranged to my hybrid form. They both flinched and freaked a bit but Selene slapped their flare guns down. "Relax, Michael is on our side."

I nodded slowly before palming her cheek lightly and jumping into the trees above. I leaped around from tree to tree while Selene took the ground and we circled around in a pincer move. When the Wendigo started imitating voices, I roared and caught it's attention.

The hunter fired a shot nearly hitting me but actually hitting the Wendigo, pissing it off. He chased us into the forest hot on our trail but it mattered little because I caught up to it and threw the lanky strong creature Selene's way.

She opened fire with her automatics and UV rounds, injuring it and sending it Sam and Dean's way. Dean fired a flare at it, missing by an inch and I dropped down on the Wendigo while lifting it up into a choke hold. I roared and Sam saw what I was doing as I shoved my clawed hand through it's body. He shot it dead on with a flare round and it caught fire as I released it and shifted back.

I huffed a bit and Sam tosses me my shirt and jacket. I smiled. "Thanks man."

He nodded. "No problem, thanks for the clean shot."

I smiled and donned my clothes while Selene brought the hunter that had ran off in the wrong direction back to the camp. I used a water bottle to wash the blood off my arm from where I pierced the Wendigo's body and Sam asked me. "What did you mean by me not being fully human?"

I shrugged. "You don't smell fully human. It's like your tainted with something darker, evil. Whatever it is, it's not good."

He sighed and nodded before I offered. "Hey, don't sweat it, I was a normal human before my mutation became active and although it's not evil like yours, I learned to live with it. I'm sure you can do the same besides, if you're interested, Selene and I could always team up with you two for a while at least. I'm sure it'll be nice to have backup when you need it."

He smiled. "I'd have to talk to Dean but I don't see a problem with it so long as you're not contagious like you said."

I nodded. "Well, I'm not gonna spread it by being around someone but if I share blood or bite someone I can't say it won't spread. Don't worry though, I'm not exactly wild or in need of biting people and I'm durable enough that it would be hard for such accidents to occur."

He nodded before saying. "Nice ink by the way, is it Latin or something?"

I shook my head. "Enochian with some Celtic and Babylonian mixed in. It keeps witches and the like from scrying and using magic against me. So long as I don't allow it, no magic or spell can harm me or find me in any way. It also prevents all sorts of possessions from demonic to ghosts for a safety measure."

Sam frowned. "Demons are real?"

I shrugged. "I don't know but I do know I'm protected from being possessed by them if they are and their tricks won't work on me either as it's dark magic."

When we all gathered up again, I led the way to the abandoned mine shaft saying the bear or whatever probably used it as a cave and took it's leftovers there. Sure enough we found their brother but he was tied up which was strange enough for them but he was also talking about some monster or other.

Selene mentioned he'd probably run afoul of some pot growers and was delirious from heat and lack of water. The humans nodded and we saw the other dead body while I sighed. "They probably strung them up in the bear's cave to leave them for dead and hoped the bear would get rid of the evidence. We need to call this in."

The amateur regular hunter agreed and we used a sat phone outside the mine to do so. The park rangers took our theories into account and called in the police as well as searched the area. Some very unfortunate pit growers ten miles out caught the blame and were arrested while their supply was taken in and burnt.

Sam told Dean our offer and while he didn't like it, he wanted to keep an eye on us just in case we turned out to be some sick evil beings.
