Phantom tilted his head slightly and responded, "That's a tough request, boss. In the underworld, loyalty comes with a price, and most would sell it to the highest bidder."
"Is there really no one who would stay true to their word? A professional bound by their contract?" I pressed.
"Can't say there is," he said with a shrug. "But if you're serious, talk to Lady Karina. She has the kind of connections you're looking for."
Lady Karina's personnel, then. It made sense. They'd be vetted thoroughly; trust was woven into their very recruitment.
"That's the situation," I explained to Karina.
"I've been drafting rejection letters for a host of suitors lately, so I suppose I can spare three for this," she replied, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.
