/ Video Games / Genshin Impact: Villain Life Simulator
Synopsis
Upon entering the world of Genshin Impact, Lucas unexpectedly activates the "Villain Simulator," forcing him to take on the role of a major antagonist in a simulated reality. His missions include:
Bullying Keqing at school
Blackmailing Shenhe into carrying out various tasks
Raising an army of undead to destroy Mondstadt
And much more...
To balance the evil acts committed in the simulation, Lucas must earn good karma by acting virtuously in the real world. However, he never imagined that one day, Shenhe, wielding a spear, would confront him in reality:
"Lucas, you have committed countless evil deeds. Today, I will kill you to uphold justice!"
Lucas: "...Wait, weren’t those just fake simulations?"

Write a reviewI’ve seen this one translated before, but it got dropped because the translator thought the author had abandoned the story. I’ve read the raws until the end, and honestly, it’s not that bad. However, just a heads-up, be cautious around the Barbara arc (I don’t remember the exact chapters, around one hundred maybe?). That part is really painful to get through, especially in the simulation, it’s pure degeneration. I’ll definitely skip that arc if I come across it again. Also, there are a few simulations early on that you might not like. Some of them can be hard to stomach, but hey, there are some gems mixed in there too, even in the earlier chapters. The MC in the real world and in the simulation are quite different. In reality, he’s a decent guy, but in the simulation, his personality shifts a lot. Some simulations are so well-written that I almost forgot they weren’t real. After the Barbara arc, a few simulations following it actually have good stories. But yeah, the Barbara arc in the simulation is definitely the one I hated the most. After that, though, the plot picks up again, and the Klee arc is really enjoyable, with some cute moments and a bit of drama with her mom.

If you read as far as it is translated it is not so bad but then it is quite bad, the problem is not the stories, well although there are some like Barbara's that are superfluous or have some weak points of the protagonist's power to give more drama, they are not so bad . The problem is what happens in the real world, it is very frustrating to see that the character is too idiotic as usually happens and even though everyone basically yells at him that it is not a simulation, the mc is still the only one who doesn't see anything of course, then There is the typical simulation in which he is ultra powerful again and again, but despite all that the MC's growth in strength is very slow, and he keeps making idiotic mistakes over and over again when he fights. Lastly, the system that forces you to make decisions and everything seems horrible to me, it is like the typical systems that threaten to kill you all the time.
First off, the translation is great—there are some minor mistakes here and there, but they can easily be ignored. There's almost no poison, and if there is, it doesn't ruin the immersion; in fact, it feels like it belongs in the plot. The characters are somewhat fleshed out, each with their own aspects and personalities, which keeps them from feeling bland and enhances their interactions. As for pacing, I can say it’s balanced for now, though I can't comment on future chapters (17 are out as of this review). I believe it will maintain a good balance between the reality the MC is in and the simulations he’s experiencing. Regarding update stability, that's a point of concern. Unless I personally remind the translator (which I definitely won't do by spamming her on the Discord server or in her DMs), I might be left waiting for new chapters after weeks of no releases. However, I think she'll focus more on this one compared to Time Emperor from my conversation with Nia. In terms of plot, there isn’t much to go on regarding the reality the MC inhabits, but there are some intriguing elements, especially in the simulations. Each simulation has its own unique story and might even outshine the original reality. The current simulation the MC is in has been the best so far (read the story to find out—no spoilers here). Overall, with this review, albeit half-hearted by my standards for critiquing fanfics and novels, I can certainly say that I highly recommend this book. Take this review with a grain of salt; your experience may differ from my expectations. I suggest reading the first 10 chapters to see if you like it. If you do, be sure to tell Nia to release more chapters, or Kaito might leak the group chat.

I came to look for copper and found gold, the few chapters I have read (13 chapters) have been quite good, I hope you continue translating the story. If you don't mind, what is the raw name?
I like this fanfic so much that I will rate it 3 to catch your eyes(who read 5/5 comments?) Anyway, the translation is great, the story line is good and well planed. Each simulation fell like a small fanfic that give you a satisfaction when it end. My favorite is Rosalyn(La Signora)/Scaramouche, and the second favorite is Barbara's (The only 2 simulation that have satisfied ending so far (chapter 50)). I've said enough now it's time for you to start reading it.
[Honest review] Probably one of the best simulation based novels out there, characters are fleshed out, story is interesting, MC has definitely some ups and down but overall great character, the simulations themselves are great, only the starter ones are kinda boring and fast paced, while further simulations can be made into novel stories themselves and are amazing, some end with a happy tone, while others a sad tone where you actually feel bad for the characters.Translation is good. Overall amazing novel to read. [13/11/24]
THE ROSTALM ARC HAS NO REASON TO GO THAT HARD Like, it feels as if it could be a whole ahh story on its own, being fr yall, i didnt expect such a thing from a random genshin fanfic that i was reading just to pass the time

good story, I hope it will be long and you won't abandon it halfway through. The character of MC is interesting due to the fact that he has not lost his morality yet. I'm waiting for the next simulations.
This novel is quite op and has a good enough background for the mc and i m currently reading the doctor arc of mc and i m loving it so yeah you can read this and it is worth it
