The air was thick with the stench of death and decay as we entered the battlefield. Mutant rats, mutant cats, and hostile mutant dogs clashed in a frenzy of teeth and claws, their twisted bodies torn and bleeding.
The ground was slick with blood, making every step a slippery gamble. I held my javelin tight, my heart racing with excitement and fear, as I entered my first battle directly on the battlefield.
Mowley charged forward, her massive body plowing through the chaos like a juggernaut. All the hostile mutants scattered before her, their eyes wide with terror as she bore down on them.
I followed close behind, my javelin striking true time and again.the worth Exp point mutants yelped and howled as I struck them down whenever they almost took the last breath from Mowley furious strike, reaping their lifes like a grim reaper.
Their bodies crumpled to the ground while letting out the last unwilling shriek from their rotten mouth.
But for every mutant we killed, two more seemed to take its place, still, with the other Dogs who follow Mowley we somewhat manage to take them down with ease.
The battle raged on, a never-ending tide of blood and fury, amidst this chaos, our group were like a fish in a pond, killing left and right like a gale of death.
RAAAWR!
A mutant cat leapt at me, its claws outstretched. I dodged its attack with a swift motion, which was strengthen from my level up, my javelin thrusting upward to impale it through the chest, ending its life.
As it fell, a mutant rat scurried up my leg, its teeth snapping wildly. Thankfully, with the thick leather I wore, it prevented piercing my skin and dealt any damage. I shook it off, stamping on its skull with a sickening crunch.
Crunch!
'These mutants become wilder! Seems like the bloody atmosphere here affected them to be in frenzy!'
HOOOOOWWLLLL!!!!
Mowley's roar echoed through the battlefield, her body becoming a blur of motion as she tore through the mutants, leaving their weak body as she kept striking at the horde with reckless abandon.
I followed her lead from behind, my javelin striking true again and again, dealing the killing blow from her paralyzed victims.
The battle was a blur of blood and chaos, the mutants falling before us like wheat before a scythe. But still they came fearlessly, as if nothing could stop them raging on bloody madness, their numbers seemingly endless.
I fought on, my muscles aching and my breath burning in my lungs from the intense nonstop battle. My mind slowly blanked from the killing as my vision slowly turned red from bloodlust. But I will not stop, not until I get all my EXP points to strengthen me as far as I can go.
For in this twisted world, only the strongest survived.

The notifications kept spamming in my head, every minute new notifications kept popping up to remind me of my progress. My experienced bar kept fluctuating like a stock bull market. I don't know how long I kept massacring these berserk mutants with Mowley's help. The feeling of being exhausted and rejuvenated again and again slowly took a toll on my mental burden.
But I still gritted my teeth, persisting with all my will, and kept killing enemies like a berserk warrior with my javelin in hand.
'I couldn't stop now, I need to take this opportunity! I don't know if I can repeat the same situation where I can farm exp points like this anymore in the future, so please! For this once you should listen to me my body!! Reap all the exp and level up like crazy!…'
Or so I thought..
Before long, a new notification appeared in my head, making me flabbergasted.
[Congratulation for reaching Max level at your current job]
[You can't gain any more EXP]
Seems like I didn't realize that I already reached the max level for Survivor. More like I didn't know that I would reach max level this soon!
With my thought, I summoned my status screen.
Level: 10[max] Job: Survivor
STR: 60 (F-)
AGI: 60 (F-)
INT: 5 (G)
Familiar: None
As for my current stats bar, it is as a follow :
HP: 600/600
Stamina: 600/600
EXP : - (Max Level)
Attack: 40
Defense: 40
Stats:
-none-
I stared at my status screen, my mind reeling from the revelation. I was at max level? At only 10? I couldn't believe it.
'Ffokin hell!! Why the maximum level is only 10?? The stats is not that great too for a max level…'
I began to ponder, my mind racing with any possibilities coming from the status window I saw.
"Is this because of my job?? That reminds me, there is nothing special with my current survivor job right now… then, there is the possibility that every job has its own rank too.. And my current job happened to be the most trash rank one"
Come to think of it, the quest I got seemed to reward me with a class change scroll, and I wondered what rank the job will I get from the quest?
'If possible I want to get a hidden job that gives me OP power like the one from the novel. But considering my luck, the chance for it to happen are miniscule…'
My thoughts were interrupted by the still-raging battle around me. I shook my head, focusing on the task at hand. I commanded Mowley to increase the intensity of her attack, and she responded with a fierce roar.
HOOOOWLLLL!!
Her massive body charged forward with more intensity, her claws swiping through the air with deadly precision and a glint of fangs tearing apart any fiber of muscle of hostile mutant behind.
I take my distance from her, my javelin flashing in the dim light of the battlefield, reaping the lives of the poor mutants and pinned their body to the ground mercilessly.
In this battle, I am not being reckless anymore as I already maximize my level, there is no meaning to be hasty.
I took my role as DPS, striking true time and again as Mowley played the Tank role, taking aggro from any hostile mutants. From time to time, our ally mutant dogs will cover my rear, and assist us whenever we need them. We worked in tandem, our movements were like well-oiled machine as we reaped the lives of the mutants.
'This is the template basic RPG strategy! Hahah! I always want to experience once before!'
Exploiting their weaknesses and avoiding their attacks. I targeted the mutant dogs first, taking them down quickly and efficiently. The mutant rats and cats were next, their smaller bodies no match for Mowley's brute strength and my precise strikes.
Together, we slaughtered the mutants, our movements were like a blur of steel and claws. I began to feel a rush of adrenaline as we fought, my senses heightened as I dodged some of the straw reckless attacks from the mutants and weaved around the battlefield.
Mowley was a force to be reckoned with, her power and strength unmatched as she tore through the mutants like paper.
And I was her strategist, guiding her every move as we worked together to take down our enemies with a precise set of movements. I grinned, feeling a sense of pride and satisfaction as we fought on, our bond growing stronger with every passing moment.
Before long, the hostile mutant dogs began to howl, its mournful cry resonating throughout the battlefield, seemingly calling its comrade with a sad cry. The mutant dog from the supermarket seemed to realize that they were at a disadvantage with Mowley overwhelming them on the battlefield.
She was a force of nature, tearing through the mutant dogs, rats, and cats with fierce abandon. Her presence was like that of a great general from ancient times, harvesting lives with impunity. The mutants were no match for her might, maybe they realized this battle will only decrease their number further.
I thought to myself that the master behind the hostile mutant dogs must have commanded them to retreat. But I was curious - why wasn't the hidden boss itself coming out from its lair and stopping us here?
I speculated about the secrets within, wondering if the boss had some kind of restriction or was guarding something within the supermarket. Perhaps it was a powerful artifact or a valuable resource, hidden away from prying eyes, of course it was only just my speculation.
"Strange…"
I weighed my options, considering whether I should pursue the fleeing mutants into the supermarket without any plan, or stay here to kill the rest of the mutants
HOOOWLLL!!
Mowley sensed my intention, and began to howl, a mighty and heavy aura enveloping the battlefield like spider web.
Her howl was like thunder, striking fear into the hearts of the weaker mutants. They scattered, leaving the battlefield in disarray. The tiger cat and giant rats were stunned, their eyes wide with fear as they trembled before Mowley's thundering howl.
I grinned, feeling a rush of excitement.
"You are right Mowley, our goal is to kill those hideous mutated dog bastards and their boss, there is no point in hesitating now! We were going in!'
We were going to uncover the secrets within the supermarket! And finish the quest. Who knows, maybe I can find a surprise there aside from getting a reward from my finished quest.
With no obstacle to stop me, I pursued the fleeing mutant dogs, determined to not leave them fleeing easily. They were fast, but I had Mowley's strength and speed to rely on. I rode on her back, holding tight as we dashed through the streets, the wind whipping through my hair and a malicious grin formed in my mouth.
From time to time, I used my spare javelin to hit the fleeing hostile mutant dogs, while commanding the dogs under Mowley's command to retrieve the javelin and bring it back to me. It was a seamless process, one that allowed us to maintain our pace as we chased down our prey.
We crossed the barrier within the supermarket vicinity, leaping between abandoned vehicles fast and agile.
I saw the rest of the hostile mutant dogs escaped and entered the supermarket not far behind, and I hesitated. Was there some trap waiting for us inside? Would the confined space of the supermarket disadvantage Mowley and me later?
I thought back to my previous experiences, remembering the times when I had been ambushed in tight spaces. I didn't want to fall into the same trap again. But I also knew that I couldn't let my fears hold me back.
'Seems like I should arrange our formation carefully later..'
I took a deep breath, steeling myself for what lay ahead. With Mowley and the rest of ally dogs by my side, I charged into the supermarket, ready to face whatever dangers awaited us.
