"Are you sure nothing happened between the two of you?" Hannah asked with more curiosity. Although she knew Franklin had no shortage of women, for the two of them, in a foreign country, to have stayed together in the same apartment, it was inevitable that something could have happened between them.

"Don't worry, Hannah. When have I ever lied to you?" Knowing that Hannah cared about her, Ava leaned over, hugged her arms, and spoke softly.

"Yea, I know." Ava responded. Leaning her head on Hannah's shoulder, hearing her best friend's gentle words, hee heart became as lively as water pouring onto a dry field, nourishing every fabric of it. Thank you for protecting me and giving me the courage to face the ugliness of reality.
