Chapter 51: Arc 1 Finale

The night was cold, and the air was heavy with tension. Hwa Xuzhou crouched in the shadows, watching the guard move around the estate. After carefully timing the guard's shifts, he slipped through an open window and found himself inside Gu Yan's mansion.
The hallways were dark and eerily silent. Too silent.
His instincts had never failed him, and now he was going to trust them again. Something was wrong. It was as if his arrival had been anticipated.
Hwa Xuzhou became torn. Should he forge ahead, despite the danger that lay ahead, or return and plan for another day?
He clenched his fist. It was now or never.
With that thought, he surged forward, navigating through the hallways. His movements were silent as he avoided the guards with ease. Soon, he reached Gu Yan's room. Hwa Xuzhou's hand tightened around his loaded gun as he slowly opened the door, prepared to defend against any attack.

marveya Well, this is the end of Arc 1. I did warn that it was going to end both darkly and badly, but don't worry, I am going to try to compensate for this in Arc 2, so anticipate!!! I'm going for a short break until the 1st of October because I want to really plan out the plot for Arc 2, though I already have a basic idea of what it's going to entail. It's going to be a mix of dog food and probably some trauma, but don't worry, the male lead won't be killing the FL this time. I’m still deciding whether it's going to be a HE or a BE, hehehe.
