...

After bombing the Phantom Troupe's hideout with the fighter jet, Mika returned to his hotel.

"You're just leaving? Aren't you concerned about what happens next?" Gabriel asked curiously, floating beside Mika.

"There's nothing to be concerned about," Mika replied with a chuckle, hands in his pockets as he walked down the brightly lit hallway. "They walked right into an ambush. Until they understand Kurapika's abilities, the Phantom Troupe won't stand a chance against him."

"Moreover, with so many members injured, the Phantom Troupe can't spare many people, so Kurapika's safety is assured."

"As for the others? Let's just say the mafia's deaths are of little consequence."

With a smile, Mika reached his door, unlocked it, and stepped inside. He was greeted by the sight of Airmid and Mellie.

They were sitting on his bed, engrossed in a mobile game.

"Mika, you're back!"

Seeing Mika, Airmid immediately closed her phone and hopped off the bed, running over to him.

"Hey, Airmid! You're cheating!" Mellie shouted. "You were about to lose, so you ran away!"

"I wasn't losing yet!" Airmid retorted, sticking her tongue out playfully from behind Mika.

"Damn it!"

Knowing she couldn't hold Airmid accountable, Mellie grabbed a nearby pillow and threw it at Airmid in frustration before flopping back onto the bed.

"Hey, hey, hey! Aim better, will you? You hit me!" Mika said, catching the pillow.

He was utterly helpless when it came to Mellie and Airmid's squabbles.

Mika placed the pillow back at the head of the bed, then patted Mellie's leg, asking curiously, "How did your evening go?"

"How did it go? Is that even a question?" Mellie sat up, a disgruntled expression on her face. "Leorio's money-making scheme was quick, but ultimately useless!"

"Each contestant pays 10,000 Jenny to participate. To win the base prize of 8.6 billion Jenny, you'd have to win 860,000 times in a row! How long would that even take?!"

"So, Airmid and I left halfway through and explored Yorknew City."

"But then, something happened. Police and mafia members were everywhere, conducting searches. So we came back."

After recounting her experience, Mellie turned to Mika, asking, "So, does the mafia lockdown have anything to do with you?"

"Of course not! Why would I do something like that?" Mika quickly waved his hands in denial.

"It was the Phantom Troupe. They raided the mafia's auction and killed everyone involved."

"That's why the entire city is searching for them."

"And?"

"Are you planning to target them next?" Mellie asked curiously.

"While I did consider using them, there's no need for me to get involved. So, starting tomorrow, let's explore the city and have some fun!"

"What do you say? Are you in?" Mika asked with a grin.

"Absolutely!" Airmid and Mellie replied in unison.

Their faces beaming with excitement, the three of them exchanged glances and burst into laughter.

...

The next morning, Mika awoke with a stiff neck and a strange ache in both arms.

He could feel a dull throbbing sensation emanating from his arms.

"What's this?"

He turned his head and saw Airmid sleeping soundly beside him, her head resting on his right arm.

"Why is Airmid here?"

"Didn't she go back to her room last night?"

As Mika's mind cleared, the memories of the previous night flooded back.

They had been discussing their plans for the day, their conversation drifting into late-night chatter.

Then, they had drifted off to sleep.

"So, that means Mellie is on my left?"

He turned his head to the left.

Sure enough, Mellie was sleeping peacefully, her head resting on his left arm.

"Oh no. This is not good. What will they think when they wake up?"

Panic began to set in.

Just then, Gabriel's voice echoed in his mind.

"You're finally awake, Mika!"

"Gabriel? Did you develop a new Nen ability?"

After marveling at the sudden telepathic communication, Mika quickly asked, "What should I do, Gabriel?"

"What can you do? It's too late!" Gabriel replied with a chuckle.

"No, it's not! If you can help me keep them asleep, I can move them back to their rooms!" Mika said, his mind racing.

A strange expression flickered across Gabriel's face. "That's a brilliant idea, but only if they're actually still asleep."

"What do you mean? They're already awake?" Mika's voice trembled.

He looked at Airmid and Mellie, their faces peaceful and serene. He couldn't detect any signs of deception.

After all, both Airmid and Mellie had also achieved the "En" state, granting them enhanced sensory perception.

Mika couldn't discern whether they were feigning sleep or not.

"Actually, I've been waiting for you to wake up, Mika. But unfortunately, they beat you to it. There's no escape now."

Hearing the amusement in Gabriel's voice, Mika's mind quickly cleared. Recalling similar scenes from anime he'd watched, Mika knew that regardless of the reason for this situation, the one who always suffered the consequences was the male protagonist.

The crucial thing was to prevent this incident from affecting the relationship between Airmid and Mellie.

"So, what should I do?" He wondered, gazing at the sleeping faces of Airmid and Mellie.

"Since they didn't react immediately upon waking up, it means they aren't thinking too deeply about it. They're probably embarrassed, which is why they're pretending to be asleep."

"In that case, I need to exploit their weakness."

With that thought, Mika looked up at the ceiling and said, "Since you're already awake, how long do you intend to keep up the charade?"

A subtle shift in Airmid and Mellie's breathing confirmed his suspicion: they were indeed faking it.

A sly grin spread across Mika's face.

He lifted his arms and pulled both Airmid and Mellie closer, embracing them.

"If you enjoy sleeping so much, then let's sleep together!"

He pulled the blanket over them, enveloping all three in its warmth.

Then, Mika began to subtly tickle them.

"No! Stop!"

The next moment, Airmid and Mellie's cries of protest erupted from beneath the blanket, echoing throughout the room.

---

"Hey, are you two ready yet?"

Leaning against the wall outside their room, Mika rubbed his face impatiently as he waited for the girls to finish changing.

His brilliant idea from earlier had backfired spectacularly, resulting in two stinging slaps to his face.

He felt utterly dejected.

Airmid's slap was understandable; they hadn't shared such an intimate moment before, and it had been quite sudden.

But Mellie's slap was a different story.

He had seen the smirk on her face after she hit him.

She had definitely done it on purpose.

"Just you wait, Mellie. The next time you visit me in my dreams, I'll show you what true cruelty is."

A mischievous grin spread across Mika's face.

After the morning's commotion, Airmid and Mellie had finally calmed down and were now changing in their room, preparing for the day's activities.

As Mika waited, Gon, Killua, and Leorio emerged from their room.

"So early? Are you planning another arm-wrestling competition today?" Mika asked.

"Of course! Where else can we find such an easy way to make money?" Leorio replied.

"Besides, the street arm-wrestling was just the first part of my plan. My real money-making strategy starts today."

Mika already knew what Leorio had in mind.

He would use the previous night's arm-wrestling matches to build his reputation and attract the attention of underground gambling organizers, then join a high-stakes game.

That was how he planned to make a fortune.

As for potential future problems?

Leorio, confident in their Nen abilities, declared they had nothing to fear.

"Leorio's right!" Gon chimed in, agreeing wholeheartedly.

"If you're happy, then I'm happy," Mika replied with a chuckle.

He knew that Gon had given up on buying a Greed Island game console.

His focus had shifted to the Greed Island infiltration plan orchestrated by the billionaire Battera, as Mika had suggested earlier.

Their current money-making endeavors were merely a way to experience the thrill of the game.

"Are you guys going out today, Mika?"

"Have fun!" Leorio said, nudging Mika with his elbow and winking suggestively.

Instantly understanding the implication behind Leorio's words, Mika couldn't help but smile. He punched Leorio lightly in the side and said, "That's none of your business!"

"Now go make your fortune!"

Feeling the sting in his side, Leorio gulped and quickly said, "I'm going, I'm going!" before hurrying away.

Gon and Killua, who had been standing behind him, exchanged confused glances.

"What did Leorio mean by that?"

"Don't look at me. I have no idea!"

After a brief, silent exchange, they quickly followed Leorio.

If they didn't know, they would simply ask him directly.

As for who they would ask?

Well, it certainly wouldn't be Mika.

Mika simply smiled and waved them off.

Shortly after Leorio, Gon, and Killua left, Airmid and Mellie emerged from their room.

After carefully dressing up, their already stunning appearances were even more breathtaking.

Mika stared at them, momentarily speechless, before extending his hands with a smile. "Shall we embark on our adventure, my ladies?"

"Of course!" Airmid and Mellie replied in unison, taking his hands.

...

September 2nd.

Mika spent the entire day exploring Yorknew City with Airmid and Mellie, enjoying the various attractions and entertainment.

On that same day, Uvogin, who had been captured by Kurapika, was rescued by the remaining members of the Phantom Troupe.

However, still humiliated by his inability to break free from Kurapika's chains, Uvogin didn't return to their base. After obtaining information about the mafia group Kurapika had joined, he set off alone, seeking revenge.

He wanted to erase the stain on his pride.

Trusting Uvogin's strength, Shalnark and Nobunaga allowed him to proceed.

Meanwhile, anticipating Uvogin's arrival, Kurapika waited at the hotel. When Uvogin appeared, they traveled to a desolate area for their duel.

However, Uvogin hadn't anticipated the extent of Kurapika's power. Driven by his thirst for vengeance and empowered by his Nen abilities specifically designed to counter the Phantom Troupe, Kurapika had surpassed him in strength.

Kurapika defeated Uvogin with relative ease.

In the end, refusing to divulge any information about the Phantom Troupe, Uvogin perished under the weight of Kurapika's Nen ability.

Thus began Kurapika's quest for revenge.

And the Phantom Troupe lost one of its members.

Back at the Phantom Troupe's base, after learning about Uvogin's fate from Shalnark, Chrollo Lucifer immediately understood the danger they faced.

Their enemy had deliberately chosen Uvogin as their first target.

"If Uvogin returns tonight, then he's safe. But if he doesn't, then I'm afraid the worst has come to pass."

"Damn it!"

Shalnark and Nobunaga roared in frustration upon hearing Chrollo's deduction.

Shalnark regretted his decision to let Uvogin go alone.

Nobunaga feared for Uvogin's safety.

The Phantom Troupe only knew that their enemy was a skilled user of chains.

Looking at the information Shalnark had gathered, Chrollo noticed a mention of Neon Nostrade, the daughter of the Nostrade Family's head, and her remarkably accurate fortune-telling abilities.

A thought struck Chrollo. He decided to pay her a visit.

As the leader of the Phantom Troupe, Chrollo possessed the Nen ability "Skill Hunter," which allowed him to steal other people's Nen abilities under certain conditions.

He was always interested in acquiring useful Nen abilities.

Now, suspecting that Neon might be a Nen user, his interest was piqued.

He wanted to steal her ability.

...

On that same day, Gon, Killua, and Leorio, while participating in an arm-wrestling competition, were introduced to a dedicated arm-wrestling gambling den by a mafia member.

Presented with this long-awaited opportunity to make money, they readily accepted.

However, just as Gon was about to participate, the arm-wrestling event was abruptly canceled and replaced with a "hide-and-seek" game.

The rules were simple: capture the designated targets, and each capture would be rewarded with 2 billion Jenny.

This news was met with excitement by the cash-strapped trio.

They decided to participate in this "hide-and-seek" game.

The photos they received from the organizers depicted several members of the Phantom Troupe.
