Alex answered. "It's natural. Riki has a gigantic network. He wouldn't be playing these games if he wasn't sure he was safe. He can manipulate things to his advantage."

"So, what should I do?" Kay asked, feeling a mix of anger and helplessness. "Just give up and let him get away with it?"

"Listen, Kay," Alex said calmly. "I understand your frustration, but you need to think about your future. You're going to be a manager, and your reputation is important. If you press too hard now, Riki might retaliate and tarnish your name in the media. It's a risk you can't afford to take."

"So, I should just let it go?" Kay's voice wavered.

"No," Alex replied firmly. "You don't have to let it go. But you need to be smart about it. Focus on becoming a successful manager first. Build your reputation and your influence. When you're in a position of power, you can take your revenge in a way that counts. Riki won't be able to touch you then."

Kay took a deep breath, absorbing Alex's words. "You're right. I'll focus on my career for now. But I won't forget this."

"Good," Alex said. "And I'll be here to support you every step of the way. We'll get him eventually but on our terms."

"Thanks, Alex," Kay said, feeling determined to take his revenge. "I appreciate your advice."

"Anytime, Kay. Now, go get some rest, and I should get some rest too, I have a match tomorrow "

"Good luck on your match tomorrow Alex, good bye" Kay responded.

Kay ended the call, feeling more resolved. He would bide his time and build his career.

And when the moment was right, he would make sure Riki faced the consequences of his actions.

While Kay lay on his bed, trying to push thoughts of Riki and the journalists from his mind, he suddenly remembered the system.

He spent almost two weeks in the coaching school, so the quest of enrolling should have been checked off.

But he hadn't received any notification.

Curious and slightly anxious, Kay decided to check the system.

He focused and said, "Open system."

The familiar blue translucent window appeared before him, displaying various tabs.

He navigated to the "Quests" tab. There, he saw the quest for "Enrolling in a Coaching School."

To his surprise, it was checked.

Kay was puzzled. Why hadn't he received a notification? The first time he completed a quest, the system notified him immediately.

After some contemplation, Kay noticed a small icon in the top right corner of the window.

It showed a microphone with a slash through it, indicating that the system was in mute mode.

Kay sighed in relief. "So that's why," he muttered to himself. He realized he must have accidentally muted the system at some point.

"Unmute system," he commanded.

Instantly, a soft chime sounded, and a notification appeared in the middle of the window:

- - -

Quest Completed: Enroll in a Coaching School

Congratulations! You have unlocked the first level of the system as a reward for completing the two quests provided by the system.

First Level Unlocked: Player's Ratings

Reward: The ability to see the Player's Ratings while looking at them.

- - -

Kay's eyes widened in amazement. "Player's Ratings?" he murmured to himself. This new ability could be a game-changer for his coaching career.

Being able to assess players' strengths and weaknesses at a glance would give him an incredible advantage.

Kay, eager to understand the full extent of his new ability, asked the system, "What specific ratings will I be able to see for each player?"

The system responded :

- - -

Player Ratings:

Pace, Shooting, Passing, Dribbling, Defending, Physical.

- - -

Kay's mind buzzed with excitement. This detailed breakdown would allow him to analyze and evaluate players comprehensively, identifying their strengths and areas for improvement.

He knew this would be invaluable not only during his training but also when he eventually started coaching a team.

Kay, deep in thought, began to analyze the implications of unlocking the first level of the system.

He wondered if there were more levels and what additional abilities or features they might offer.

The ability to see player ratings was already incredibly useful, so what could the future levels hold?

Eager for more information, Kay asked the system directly, "Can you provide more details about the levels and what each level unlocks?"

But once again, there was no response.

He realized that the system might reveal information only as he progressed and completed more quests.

Curious about how the system rated him, Kay decided to test it on himself.

He focused and looked at his own reflection, activating the system's player rating feature.

The ratings appeared before him, and he couldn't help but chuckle at what he saw:

- - -

Pace: 10 Shooting: 09 Passing: 15 Dribbling: 10 Defending: 05 Physical: 65

- - -

Kay laughed and said to himself, "If I were a player in FIFA, my card would have the lowest stats ever. At least my physical rating isn't too bad! possibly it's because my amputated leg has nothing to do with that physical. "

He found the humor in the situation, recognizing that his current physical condition didn't define his potential as a manager.

Kay went to sleep, eager to test the system on his classmates the next day.

The following morning, he arrived at the coaching school eager to use his new ability.

During the break after the first class, he spotted Sergio Busquets chatting with some other students.

This was the perfect opportunity to test the system on someone with a high profile.

Focusing on Busquets, Kay activated the player rating feature.

The stats appeared, and he noted that despite Busquets having retired, his ratings were still high:

- - -

Pace: 33 Shooting: 59 Passing: 75 Dribbling: 71 Defending: 74 Physical: 65

- - -

Kay smiled to himself, remembering Busquets' FIFA card ratings from his playing days just before retiring. 'Not much has changed,' he thought.

Then the instructor announced, "Since it has been over two weeks, it's time for a small practical session. Today, we will practice coaching methods to teach the basics. We'll cover warm-up drills, passing drills, dribbling drills, shooting drills, defending drills, and, finally, cooling down."

Kay stood to the side, observing. Having just fixed his artificial leg two weeks ago, he wasn't yet ready to participate in physical drills.

He watched intently as his classmates, all seasoned former players, smoothly executed the exercises they had performed countless times throughout their careers.

The instructor demonstrated each drill, starting with warm-up exercises designed to loosen muscles and prepare the body for physical activity.

Kay took mental notes, imagining how he would explain and modify these drills for different skill levels.

Next, the group moved on to passing drills.

The instructor emphasized the importance of accuracy and timing, while the students effortlessly passed the ball back and forth, their years of experience evident in their precise movements.

Dribbling drills followed, with the instructor highlighting techniques for maintaining control of the ball while navigating through cones.

Kay noted the subtle tips and tricks shared, knowing these details would be invaluable when he began coaching.

Shooting drills came next, with an emphasis on technique and power.

The sound of the ball hitting the net echoed through the field, a testament to the skill of the participants.

Kay couldn't help but feel a pang of longing, but he remained focused, absorbing everything he could.

Defending drills wrapped up the session, with the instructor explaining positioning and strategies to intercept the ball.

The students demonstrated their defensive prowess, seamlessly transitioning between attack and defense.

Finally, the instructor led them through cooling-down exercises to gradually reduce the heart rate and stretch the muscles used during the drills.

Kay observed the importance of this phase, recognizing how it could help prevent injuries and promote recovery.

As the session concluded, the instructor approached Kay. "I know you're eager to join in, but it's crucial to give yourself time to fully adapt to your artificial leg. Use this period to soak in the techniques and strategies."

Kay nodded, appreciative of the instructor's understanding. "Thank you. I'm learning a lot just by watching."

The instructor smiled. "That's the spirit. Keep observing and taking notes."

One week passed quickly as Kay and his classmates repeated all the different drills.

With less than a week remaining to the end of the first month, the instructor announced,

"It's time for the guest lecture. Today, we have an experienced and very famous manager who will share his journey and explain how returning to basics with professional players has had a huge positive effect."

The famous manager that the instructor was talking about is...

See you in the next chapter...
