As the tension eased, Miguel and Robby left the arena, and Eli and I stepped in. Johnny offered Eli a few final words of encouragement, but when I glanced around for Daniel, he was nowhere to be seen. A moment of confusion washed over me, but I quickly brushed it aside. The referee signaled the start of the fight, and we both charged at each other.
Eli made the first move, throwing a quick punch aimed at my face. I sidestepped effortlessly and countered with a sharp kick to his side. The impact made him stumble, but he quickly regained his footing and attempted a spinning kick to close the gap. Anticipating his move, I blocked the kick and swept his supporting leg out from under him. As he fell, I grabbed his arm, flipped him over my shoulder, and gently placed him on the mat. Without wasting a moment, I delivered a controlled punch to his stomach, earning the first point.
Eli got back to his feet, frustration evident as he adjusted his stance. The referee restarted the match, and I decided to test his defense. I faked a high punch, drawing his guard up, then swept low with a spinning kick to his legs. He dropped to one knee, trying to recover, but I was already there. I stepped in and delivered a solid punch to his chest, knocking him flat on his back. The referee called the second point in my favor.
By the time Eli stood again, his movements were slower, and his confidence appeared shaken. Determined to make this final round decisive, I allowed him to attack first. He lunged at me with a flurry of punches, but I dodged each one effortlessly, my movements smooth and precise. Seeing an opening, I ducked under his final swing and struck the pressure points in his legs. His body gave out, and he collapsed to the mat. I stepped forward, grabbed his mohawk, and delivered a decisive punch to his chest. The referee declared the final point, shouting, "3-0, winner: Jack Levin!"
The crowd erupted into cheers, the noise echoing throughout the arena. Everyone celebrated except for the Cobra Kai students, who watched silently, their defeat evident. Eli remained on the mat for a moment before slowly standing and walking off, clearly defeated.
After a brief five-minute break, it was time for the finals. The referee stepped forward and addressed the crowd. "The finals are here! This year, we've witnessed many moments—some good, some bad—but we hope to end on a high note. All the dojos worked hard to compete, but one has risen above the rest. Miyagi-Do has secured the trophy with two students in the finals. Please give a round of applause for Robby Keene and Jack Levin!"
The crowd clapped as Robby and I stepped onto the mat. We bowed, took our stances, and the match began.
Robby made the opening move, charging at me with a quick combination of punches. His form was sharp, but I could see through his attacks. I blocked his first two punches with ease, sidestepped his roundhouse kick, and countered with a swift yet controlled kick to his side, pushing him back. He regained his footing and came at me again, aiming a spinning kick at my head. I ducked under it and swept his legs out from under him. Before he could recover, I stepped forward and landed a clean punch to his chest, earning the first point.
As the second round began, I decided to play defensively, letting Robby set the pace. He came in fast, attempting a series of low kicks to break my stance. I blocked each one with precise movements, maintaining my balance. He followed up with a high kick, but I leaned back, narrowly avoiding it. Seeing my opening, I spun quickly and landed a controlled back kick to his stomach, sending him stumbling. I moved in, grabbed his wrist to prevent him from countering, and gently flipped him to the mat. A light tap to his shoulder with my fist secured the second point.
Robby got back up, breathing hard but determined. He nodded at me, acknowledging the challenge. The third round started, and this time, I shifted to a more aggressive approach to end the match decisively. I feinted a jab, drawing his guard high, then darted low and swept his legs again, forcing him to the ground. He rolled quickly to get back up, but I was already on him. I executed a spinning kick that landed just shy of half power on his chest, pushing him back. Before he could regroup, I stepped in and delivered a controlled punch to his torso, earning the final point.
The referee raised his hand and declared, "3-0, winner: Jack Levin!" The crowd erupted into cheers as I helped Robby to his feet, both of us proud to have represented Miyagi-Do in the finals.
The crowd's cheers filled the arena, echoing like thunder as Robby and I stepped off the mat, both smiling and proud of our accomplishments. Sam was the first to reach me, her face glowing with excitement. Without hesitation, she threw her arms around me, pulling me into a tight hug. "You were amazing out there, Jack!" she exclaimed, her voice barely audible over the noise of the crowd.
Robby grinned and joined us, clapping me on the back. "That was some fight, man. You deserved the win," he said, his tone genuine and free of bitterness.
Before I could respond, Daniel approached, pride radiating from his expression as he looked at both of us. "You two have made Miyagi-Do proud today," he said warmly, placing a hand on my shoulder and another on Robby's. "It wasn't just about the win. It was the way you fought with respect and honor. That's what matters most."
Sam smiled up at her father, nodding in agreement, before turning her attention back to me. "You've worked so hard for this, Jack. We're all so proud of you," she said, her voice soft but full of emotion.
Together, the four of us stood there, basking in the moment. The crowd continued to cheer, the energy of the arena vibrant and electric, but for us, it was about more than victory. It was about friendship, family, and the strength of the bond we shared.
I thought to myself, I did it! I won the All Valley Tournament and became the champion. As the excitement coursed through me, I couldn't help but wonder what the future holds for me. What challenges and opportunities will come my way now that I've achieved this significant milestone? This victory feels like just the beginning of a new chapter in my life, one filled with possibilities and the potential for growth. I imagined the journey ahead, filled with hard work, new friendships, and the lessons I would learn along the way.
With a heart full of hope and determination, I embraced the future, ready to face whatever came next.
Big come back tell me what you think.
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
