Chapter 117: Chapter 118 : Killing Momonosuke!!

"Alright, let's leave it at that! Notify me the moment you find Festa!"

After getting the information he wanted from Doflamingo, Buggy lost interest in continuing the conversation. He gestured to Domino to end the call with the Den Den Mushi.

Domino returned the snail phone to her pocket, but her hesitant expression showed she had something on her mind. She looked like she wanted to speak but was holding back.

Buggy chuckled softly and pulled Domino into his arms, lifting her chin with a playful squeeze. "If you have a question, just ask. I've never kept any of my plans hidden from you."

About a month ago, Buggy had gathered his closest subordinates in the ship's cabin to roughly outline his strategy, and Domino had been part of that meeting.

In fact, Domino knew almost everything about what Buggy was planning—perhaps even more than Mr. 3 or Shiryu did.

This exclusivity had caused Blackbeard to feel sidelined, and he'd parted ways with Buggy over it. Instead of joining Buggy's group to search for IQ, Blackbeard took Diamond Jozu and made his way to the New World.

By now, Domino seemed used to Buggy's touchy behavior, offering no resistance. Instead, she casually wrapped her arms around his neck and asked curiously, "Why do you harbor so much hatred toward Wano?"

Through Buggy's earlier conversation with Doflamingo, Domino had sensed his undisguised contempt for Wano. It was clear that Buggy truly intended to destroy the country, which piqued her curiosity about what kind of personal grudge he might have against it.

Buggy was briefly taken aback by the question, then burst out laughing. "So *that's* what you were curious about? I thought you'd be more concerned with the situation between the Marines and the World Government."

To Buggy, it made sense that Domino—given her role as an undercover agent—would be more focused on her former employers. He hadn't expected her to ask about Wano, a matter unrelated to her.

A flicker of conflict passed through Domino's eyes as she bit her lip, staying silent.

What Buggy didn't know was that Domino had avoided asking about the World Government or the Marines because she didn't know where she stood in that conflict herself.

Officially, Impel Down and the Marines were both directly under the World Government. They operated on equal footing without one reporting to the other, with Impel Down formally answering only to the Government.

However, in practice, the World Government rarely interfered with Impel Down's internal matters, and most of its coordination was done directly with Marine Headquarters.

In that sense, Marine Headquarters functioned as Impel Down's de facto superior, and the relationship between the two was much closer than with the World Government itself.

No matter how you look at it, Impel Down is both nominally and practically under the direct control of the World Government.

Now that the World Government is moving to seize complete control over the Navy, Domino found herself at a loss. She didn't know how to feel about it—or which side she should even stand on.

But this wasn't something her personal will could change. So Domino decided it was better to turn a blind eye and pretend she didn't know anything about it.

Seeing her reaction, Buggy more or less guessed what Domino was thinking and decided not to press the issue. Instead, he explained, "Back when I was on Captain Roger's ship, I spent some time with people from Wano Country…"

Hearing Buggy mention the past, Domino pushed her conflicting thoughts aside and focused her attention. Behind Buggy, Boa Hancock also perked up, listening carefully with heightened interest.

"As you know, to reach the final island, Laugh Tale, you first need to collect the four Road Poneglyphs. The intersection point of the locations marked on these Poneglyphs is where Laugh Tale lies."

"However, the inscriptions on those Poneglyphs are written in an ancient language from hundreds of years ago. So, even after gathering all four, you still need someone who can decipher them and translate the contents."

"There are very few people in the world capable of reading that ancient script. One of them is the Kozuki clan, who were responsible for engraving the Poneglyphs in the first place."

"That's why Captain Roger invited Kozuki Oden—who was then the second division commander under Whitebeard—to join our crew. With his help, we managed to find Laugh Tale."

Buggy paused for a moment, just saying Oden's name made his stomach churn.

Seeing his reaction, Boa Hancock couldn't help but ask curiously, "So, did something happen between you and Kozuki Oden when you were on Roger's ship?"

Buggy shook his head. "Not really. I hate him simply because I hate him. Every single one of those Kozuki people is crazy—whether it's the clan head or their retainers."

"They hide behind minor courtesies but lack any real sense of honor. Their twisted personalities make them worse than animals."

As Buggy recalled certain unpleasant memories, his hatred for the Kozuki clan and Wano deepened.

At the same time, he felt a strange sense of fortune. Fate had presented him with an opportunity he never thought he'd get.

In fact, Buggy had already come up with the perfect excuse: he'd accuse Wano of environmental destruction—polluting water sources and discharging toxic waste from their weapons factories—and use that as justification to wipe them out.

Though Wano wasn't quite the place he had imagined, what did it matter? Who would even care?

Domino and Boa Hancock shuddered at the naked malice in Buggy's words. It was the first time they had ever seen him harbor such hatred toward a person—or an entire nation.

Boa Hancock understood and chose not to say more; after all, Wano had nothing to do with her. If it was destroyed, so be it!

However, Domino hesitated, feeling conflicted. After all, it was a country, and having been on the side of 'justice' for many years, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of sympathy.

Seeing this, Buggy tightened his grip on Domino's chin, lifting her head so she couldn't speak. He coldly said, "I'm not in a good mood right now, so you'd better not say anything I don't want to hear!"

Domino was taken aback, feeling a bit wronged. This was the first time Buggy had been so harsh with her! Especially since she hadn't even said anything yet!

Ignoring Domino, Buggy furrowed his brow, contemplating whether he should alter their plans to prioritize the destruction of Wano.

But then he recalled something else: there were still a few remnants of Wano drifting out at sea!

Kozuki Oden's son, the heir of the Kozuki clan—Kozuki Momonosuke!

Thinking about Momonosuke's detestable face reignited the anger Buggy had tried to suppress.

For anyone who had traveled to the world of One Piece, the primary objective wasn't to become the Pirate King, nor was it to overthrow the World Government or wipe out all pirates to change the world; it was to kill Momonosuke!

Momonosuke must die!

Perfect, now there was another reason to destroy Wano!

Buggy pressed down hard on Domino's head, sneering, "I'm really fired up right now!"

Misery loves company; let's all be disgusted together!
