"The Gate of Justice at Marineford has finally arrived! Beyond this gate lies the headquarters of the Navy!"
"Wait, the Gate of Justice is closed!"
"The control room for the Gate of Justice should be at Marineford! If the Navy doesn't open the gate, we won't be able to get through at all!"
"But how can we expect the Navy to open the gate for us?"
...
Everyone was initially thrilled to see the Gate of Justice, but their excitement quickly turned to confusion when they realized it was shut tight. They now found themselves completely helpless in the face of the closed gate.
Bullet turned to Buggy and asked, "Hey, Buggy, you didn't overlook this, did you?"
Buggy grinned and, giving Blackbeard a reassuring pat on the shoulder, said loudly, "Just press forward with confidence; the Gate of Justice will open on its own! Teach has already made arrangements for us!"
The crowd was taken aback by Buggy's confidence, glancing at Blackbeard with puzzled expressions, unsure of what Buggy meant by arrangements. But seeing Buggy so self-assured eased their concerns.
Meanwhile, Blackbeard was drenched in sweat.
"He has been watching me! He really has been watching me!" Blackbeard repeated in his mind, fully convinced that Buggy's been keeping an eye on him.
But how exactly did Buggy manage to do this?
Blackbeard's eyes darted around, subtly surveying his five crew members: Helmsman "Champion" Jesus Burgess, the sniper Van Augur, the navigator Demon Sheriff Laffitte, the ship doctor Death God Doc Q, and the ship doctor's pet, the white horse Stronger.
Only Blackbeard and his crew knew the details of their plan. If something went wrong, the issue had to lie with these few individuals.
So, there must be an undercover agent planted by Buggy among them!
Blackbeard's eyes gleamed with suspicion as he began to carefully consider who the undercover agent might be.
"Burgess is reckless and dim-witted; it's unlikely to be him... No, it could be! Perhaps he's merely disguising himself . Even I disguised myself as a harmless man and have been on the Whitebeard ship for decades!" Blackbeard thought, feeling frustrated for having dismissed Burgess too quickly.
He put Burgess back into the suspect pool and turned his attention to the remaining three.
At first glance, these three seemed to be problematic, and the longer he observed them, the more they appeared to be potential undercover agents.
Even that horse seemed suspicious—it wasn't an ordinary horse!
This only fueled Blackbeard's irritation. "How the hell do I fix this? Damn Buggy, does he think he can shake me off by planting a mole next to me? If it comes to it, I'll just kill them all and find new ones!"
Blackbeard's eyes were filled with murderous intent. In his mind, he had already condemned Burgess and the other three to death.
He would rather mistakenly kill three thousand than let one enemy slip through.
Buggy noticed Blackbeard's strange demeanor but didn't take it to heart. He patted Blackbeard on the shoulder and addressed the group, "Teach has already hypnotized the control room staff at Marineford so they'll open the doors of justice when they see the warship. So, no need to worry!"
"I see, Captain Buggy has anticipated even this step! What foresight!"
"Captain Buggy is not only far-sighted but also incredibly powerful—so much so that even the Navy Headquarters can be infiltrated by him!"
"I knew following Captain Buggy was the right choice! This time, we'll definitely win the war!"
"Long live Captain Buggy! Banzai! Banzai!"
...
Hearing this, the crew erupted into cheers once more, their adoration for Buggy making him a bit uneasy.
To be honest, Buggy had intended only to calm and reassure them. He had no idea why they were taking his words so seriously!
Moreover, many pirates with bounties over 100 million had joined his ranks, and it seemed they had genuinely embraced their roles as Buggy's subordinates.
Was this the power of Luck?
Buggy glanced at Blackbeard, who was supposedly 'foresighted,' and noticed that his face had turned an alarming shade of purple. Yet, Blackbeard showed no sign of explanation!
This surprised Buggy even more.
Given Blackbeard's cunning and scheming nature, this would be the perfect time for him to build up his reputation, and he shouldn't miss this chance!
What Buggy didn't know was that Blackbeard wasn't concerned with these matters at all; he was preoccupied with a different issue.
Who was the undercover agent among his crew?
Buggy had even learned that the trigger for their hypnosis involved a warship and had confirmed the presence of an undercover agent among his ranks!
Now, the pressing question is: how many undercover agents are there?
And who could the undercover agent be?
In front of Buggy, Blackbeard felt like a complete fool—an actual clown made to dance to Buggy's tune amidst the applause!
Though Buggy wasn't sure why Blackbeard hadn't stepped forward to glorify himself, it was clear that Blackbeard was on the brink of exploding. Buggy decided to refrain from provoking him further.
The three warships advanced swiftly, and as they approached the Gate of Justice, it opened smoothly without any incidents!
This prompted cheers from those aboard the warships and elevated Buggy's standing a notch!
By now, the sounds of explosions from Marineford were clearly audible. They were closing in on the battlefield!
"Full speed ahead!" Buggy commanded, and the three warships surged towards Marineford at top speed.
Within minutes, they reached the docks at the rear of Marineford and saw the navy guards stationed at the pier.
The Gate of Justice is positioned behind Marineford, connecting directly to Impel Down and Enies Lobby, forming the core area of the Navy Headquarters. Consequently, security here is usually quite lax.
Moreover, the Navy Headquarters had already evacuated civilians from Marineford in anticipation of the war, leaving little to guard at the rear. The few sentry posts were merely symbolic.
"Why are there warships at this time… No, the warships are packed with pirates!"
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang..."
A few Navy soldiers on the dock had just noticed the anomaly when Van Augur's gun fired, taking out several soldiers with pinpoint accuracy.
"Impressive marksmanship," Buggy said with a nod, "but your Armament Haki is still lacking. It needs more practice. No matter how precise your aim is, it won't be lethal if your Armament Haki isn't strong enough!"
Buggy offered his praise along with a piece of advice.
Van Augur nodded in acknowledgment. He knew he was still a step behind the top-tier fighters.
Blackbeard's expression darkened further at this exchange. After all, Van Augur was his subordinate, not Buggy's, and he didn't appreciate Buggy stepping in with such remarks.
Seeing Van Augur's lack of objection only fueled Blackbeard's irritation, and he mentally made a note of it in his personal ledger.
As the warship docked, Buggy leaped off the vessel and announced, "Alright, let's go give Sengoku and Whitebeard a big surprise!"
