In the far domain, beyond the Imaginary Tree and the Sea of Quanta, there exist beings—entities that defy the very nature of our universe by just existing. People from before eras call them the Outer Gods. Kevin explained.
Elysia tilted her head slightly, curiosity sparking in her eyes. "Outside the Imaginary Tree? Are they that strong?"
A/N ~ For elysia. Imaginary tree is extraordinary and mysterious.
Kevin hesitated for a moment, trying to find the right words. "Strong? That's putting it lightly. They're not bound by our understanding of power. 'Omnipotent' would be more appropriate."
Elysia's playful demeanor shifted, growing more serious. "So why are they interfering with our small world?"
Kevin shook his head slowly, a hint of frustration creeping into his voice. "That, I don't know.
Aside from their names and some of their... hobbies, I have little understanding of their motives. But I do know they've taken an interest in our world for reasons we can't fully grasp."
"Do you have any clues?" Elysia asked, her eyes locking onto his, searching for answers.
Kevin sighed deeply. "It's better to leave this topic alone. Even speaking their names carries a burden of karma. It's dangerous."
Elysia's eyes gleamed with determination. "But if you know something, I want to hear it."
Relenting, Kevin nodded. "Fine. But only about two of them. They might be the ones responsible for interfering. The first is the Outer God Yui, and the second is known as the Mother."
Elysia raised an eyebrow. "Yui? And the Mother? What makes you think they're responsible?"
Kevin paused for a moment, collecting his thoughts. "Yui has a strange hobby—devouring anomalies across universes. Anything that stands out or doesn't belong, she consumes. The Mother... well, she seeks to reset the entire universe. She wants to take everything back into her womb and give birth to something new."
Kevin told all of this using soul bond to reduce the karma burden.
Elysia's eyes widened in shock. "That's... unsettling. Wait, doesn't that mean anomalies like you could be targeted by Yui?"
Kevin shrugged. "Possibly. But they can't harm us directly. They only increase the difficulty of trials or send envoys to do their bidding."
"That's somewhat reassuring," Elysia muttered, though her expression still held concern. "Are there any individuals capable of reaching their level?"
Kevin's gaze became distant as he thought about the others. "Yes. There are five across the multiverse who have managed to reach the domain of the Outer Gods.
My stigma holds data on them: Houraiji Kyuusyou, Kiana Kaslana, Alaya, Jyahnar, Raiden Mei, and Delta.
That was a lie. I know about them because i play both honkai gakuen and honkai impact.
Elysia's interest piqued even further. "Wait—Mei and Kaslana? Are you and Mei somehow related to them?"
Kevin shrugged again, a small smirk on his lips. "I'm not sure, but it's possible we're descendants or alternate versions of them."
And this much is true. Kevin thought.
Still curious, Elysia pressed on. "So they reached the level of the Outer Gods. Does that mean they're all stronger than the final Herrscher?"
Kevin nodded, confirming her suspicions.
"And how did they reach that level?" Elysia asked, her curiosity insatiable.
Kevin paused before explaining. "Their base power came from Honkai. All of them were Herrschers. While Delta being a herrscher, also possess an ability similar to Vishnu."
"Herrschers and Vishnu". Elysia murmured.
"Vishnu? Isn't that the Honkai beast that feeds on other Honkai beasts to grow stronger?"
Kevin nodded.
"That's basically cheating!" Elysia exclaimed, shaking her head in disbelief.
Kevin chuckled softly looking at her expression.
"Jyahnar was a Honkai beast, so she's an exception. But it shows that even Honkai beasts can reach the level of the Outer Gods." Kevin said.
Elysia's jaw dropped. "A Honkai beast can become that powerful? What about the others?
"Houraiji Kyuusyou", also experiment on herself and obtain powers similar to Brahma.
"I can guess mahesvera is similar to them. Based on data which bronya gathered on valkyries killed by mahesvera". Kevin dropped another bomb.
I get about vishnu but Brahma and Mahesvera—what makes them special?" Elysia asked.
Brahma possess the power of adaptability and creation aspect. The power to combine with everything. The power which the origin possess. Kevin said.
As for Maheshvera. The beast possess extraordinary power to destroy. Like they never existed. Various small parts of valkyries part got missing as if it never existed.
"I do sense great power in Maheshvera essence."Elysia said.
"With the proper utilization of viprolopa class honkai beast powers and Herrscher powers. They were able to reach Outer gods level". Kevin said.
Elysia's eyes widened again. " does that mean—"
Kevin interrupted her. " with Bronya's help, I implanted both Brahma and Mahesvera's genes into you without anyone knowing."
"Wait... what?" Elysia gasped.
"You possess the power of adaptability and destruction," Kevin revealed.
I did sense mahesvera essence reacting strangely when I activated my authority of destruction. Kevin thought.
After their serious talk . Kevin asked a very important question to elysia.
Kevin looked at Elysia thoughtfully, weighing the gravity of his next words. Finally, he broke the silence, his voice soft but filled with urgency.
"Elysia, if ever we confirm that there is no chance this civilization will survive... and I find a way to leave this universe, will you come with me? As the last escort?"
Elysia didn't answer right away. Instead, she studied Kevin's face, searching his eyes. Then, instead of responding directly, she asked her own question, her voice tender yet firm.
"Kevin," she began, her gaze unwavering, "if you're carrying all of this for us, I need to tell you something. Just do your best, and I'll be satisfied with that."
Kevin blinked, slightly surprised by her words. Her response was unexpected but comforting in a way he hadn't anticipated. "Really?" he asked, his voice tinged with disbelief. "You mean that?"
Elysia nodded, her smile soft but resolute. "Absolutely. I don't want you to be burdened with all of this on your own. Even if things get out of hand, we'll always stay together."
Elysia said that she will come with Kevin in another way.
Her promise hung in the air like a lifeline. Kevin felt a deep sense of relief wash over him, one that he hadn't even realized he needed. It was as if her words had lifted a weight from his shoulders, one he had been unknowingly carrying for far too long.
He smiled at her, his heart lighter than it had been in days. "Thank you," he said softly, his gratitude evident in his tone.
Elysia leaned down and kissed him again, this time lingering a little longer, her lips warm and reassuring against his. "Don't thank me yet," she teased with a playful grin, pulling back slightly. "We've still got a lot of work to do."
So Kevin find out a way to get out of this world. Elysia thought.
