'And so, it begins! I should have expected this to happen. I don't even know why I feel disappointed anymore.'

Rika knew that this conversation would ultimately involve Suzie and her interests. Her other somehow managed to bring her into every conversation.

It was an exceptional talent, and Rika felt tired when this happened.

"Mother, we can talk more about this tomorrow. I will swing by with Emily and Damian around lunchtime if that suits you. Now, I should cut the call off and talk to Emily."

Rika quickly cut off the conversation before it could proceed more. 

She was not in a mood to hear about Suzie's actions and the kind of person she was. Rika had heard about it more than enough in her life.

"Oh, you are right! I should take up only a little of your time. Suzie wanted to spend time with me so I will head out now. I will see you tomorrow, Rika. I hope you are in good health."
