Chapter 56: "A reassured superstar"
A vile message filled with perverted and scummy intentions toward Akane and the single letter with four asterisks, it was clear as day that this was none other than Kenji, Shinji's debt collector.
"It seems that bastard is alive." A thought crossed on my mind as I leaned back and sighed with mild frustration.
Filled with frustration and anger, I instinctively slammed the table and this made Akane jump in surprise.
"Ray-kun?" Akane asked, confused and concerned.
"I think I know who might be your stalker." I revealed to Akane, my fists clenched.
"And he's a fucking Yakuza." I added scornfully.
Akane widened her eyes, fear and worry never leaving on her face.
I looked at the anxious superstar and smiled at her softly and gently.
"Don't worry, little Akane-chan, I'll deal with your stalker." I ressured her.
Hearing an reassurance, Akane couldn't help but to shed a tear.
Akane jumped from her seat and rushed towards me to give me a tight hug.
I didn't reciprocate her hug but I patted her head gently to make sure she'll be safe from now on.
Akane's fear and worry began to ease as soon as my chest felt her calm breathing. After a minute of hugging, she broke the hug and stared at me with teary yet grateful eyes.
"Come, let's get you home." I offered.
Akane nodded gracefully and wiped the tears off her eyes.
Meanwhile, back in the bustling ambience of Sakura Himura's luxurious coffee shop, the handsome server moved gracefully among the tables, attending to customers with practiced ease. His confident demeanor and charming smile added to the elegant atmosphere of the place, drawing admiring glances from some of the patrons.
Despite the busy environment, he managed to exude a sense of calm and efficiency, making each customer feel valued and attended to. The way he effortlessly navigated the bustling cafe, his presence elevate the experience, turning the simple visits of the customers to the coffee shop into a memorable and pleasant affair.
Even amidst the activity around them, the server's charm was undeniable, casting a subtle spell that enhanced the entire atmosphere of the cafe.
As he neared his quota for today, the handsome server was about to take his break when suddenly he was approached by his co-worker.
"Yo! Ryuji-kun." The co-worker called him from behind as he was about to take a seat in the employees' table section.
Ryuji, the handsome and charming server, turned around with a smile.
"What's up?" He asked happily.
"You, uhmmm, finished your shift for today?" The co-worker asked him again. There was a slight hesitation on his voice.
"Yeah, why?" Ryuji answered, curious.
"Sorry, bro, but.." The co-worker then took a deep sigh.
"I hope you're not mad at me." The co-worker continued, still hesitating.
Ryuji rolled his eyes, growing increasingly impatient and frustrated.
"Just spit it out!" Ryuji, ever as calm and charming, lose his cool and raised his voice at his co-worker.
The co-worker was taken aback by Ryuji's sudden loud voice.
"Okay, okay, chill bro." The co-worker was subdued.
The co-worker took a deep breath and moved outside. He then pointed out a group of patrons, seating and patiently waiting to be served in a secluded table.
"They specifically wanted you to serve them, bro." The co-worker explained to Ryuji.
Ryuji felt even more frustrated, he clenched his fists instinctively.
"Then fucking serve them!" Ryuji lashed out, his eyes became violent.
Again, the co-worker was taken aback and even more surprised by the sudden change in Ryuji's calm and composed nature.
Drowning in negative emotions, Ryuji took many deep breathes to calm himself down.
"Who asked me to specifically serve them?" Ryuji asked calmly, he regained his usual composure.
His co-worker didn't respond but his finger was pointing at a particular person.
Ryuji looked at wherever his finger was pointed at and saw an old, sophisticated, striking man, staring at them from the distance.
