Chapter 29: Jiraiya and Naruto
At Ichiraku Ramen shop...
"You look pretty shocked by the news. Got something on your mind?" asked Jiraiya, sitting beside me at the counter.
"Do I? Well, I just never thought Sasuke had it in him. I mean, killing Orochimaru? Isn't Orochimaru supposed to be one of the strongest out there? And Sasuke just took him down?"
"What? Are you scared that he's stronger than you now?"
"Scared? Are you kidding? No way. I'm just curious, that's all!"
"Anyway, Sasuke's going after Itachi next. We need to come up with a plan to capture Itachi. If we time it right, when Sasuke goes for Itachi, we can catch him too."
"Yeah, I wish it were that simple. But with me on your side, I'm sure it'll be a lot easier," I said, sipping my ramen. "Another bowl, please!"
"I see you haven't changed a bit!"
"Hold on, you mentioned you'd teach me Sage Mode and some other techniques. When are you planning to do that?"
"After my next mission. Once I'm back in the village, I'll start teaching you Sage Mode."
"Okay, I really hope that's soon!"
"Even if it takes a little longer, you'll find ways to learn on your own and become an even better shinobi," he replied. "But for now, let's just leave that for later."
