Chapter 92: Intense rivalry

When Charm reached the gym Genesis told her to join the others as Lucien wanted to speak to all the new recruits there. 

It was another beautiful day on the island with the sunny sky still having a tinge of leftover rose-gold streaks from dawn that morning.

"You're late," said Genesis while glancing at his watch.

How long had he been standing and waiting for her outside the gym?

The impatient gravelly undertone of her usual sparring partner was not hard to miss. 

He moved so silently when he came from behind she did not hear his footsteps.

Genesis clothes were wet from perspiration which was the norm.

He always was an early riser and did his own personal workout before Charm arrived.

Charm swore under her breath.

Then took a quick glance at his watch.

For crying out loud she was just five minutes late, Genesis was strict about being punctual but he could be so obnoxious and overbearing at times.
