"An announcement?" Kai asked as Donavan joined us for lunch.

Even I had no idea what this announcement they were talking about was.

I made a mental note to message Lex. If anyone was behind the sudden announcement it would be him.

"It's not about the company," Donavan clarified.

Was Lex finally going to come out about his relationship with Cassandra?

It wasn't like they were keeping it a secret, but it wasn't public knowledge either.

They'd been seen at public events, but Lex always came with dates, it just so happened that now he had one steady date instead of a stream of women.

"So a family matter?" I asked Donavan.

If I didn't seem interested in this piece of gossip they would find it odd, I was always eager for gossip mainly because it gave me a perspective I'd normally never see.

"Probably," Donavan hummed as a waiter brought over our food.
