Chapter 145: At the Brink

Valerie flew from the trees and landed right behind her brother. This was the only thing that had dragged her out of her room in months, she had her maids sneak around to find out what was going on when her brother acted strangely on that talk they had.

They obviously didn't hear much but when the King was preparing to leave secretly they caught wind of it and told and she had been following them since.

"You followed me here? Valerie go back home!" He ordered her as he got up from the chair to face her.

She ignored her brothers orders and unholstered her two weapons, pointing them at Levi. There was no anger in her eyes, not even hatred. They were ghostly and without feelings.

Henry stood between them, if a fight broke out now he knew that they'd only die in vain. He couldn't understand why she didn't want to think things through.
